Justin Craig's Public Relations Flap and statements in public that "Scientology is dead" has brought great disrepute to the independent field. The flap is now being propagandized in Tonny Ortega's tabloid website.
A list of Justin Craig's transgressions to the Scientology codes is listed (and a bill of particulars furnished for every transgression) and recommendations are being prepared to deal with the flap. 14. Pronouncing Scientologists guilty of the practice of standard Scientology.
(By demanding his followers to use and apply only Justin Craig's tech and abandon LRH's tech, he pronounced those scientologists guilty of the practice of LRH standard Scientology.)

TECHNICAL HIGH CRIMES
2. Pretending to have an organization but have no technical personnel on staff in Tech or Qual.
(Justin Craig clearly lacked a Qualifications Division. Justin Craig never validated his identity, starting with the Security Checks mandated for returnees, in HCOB, from 1985, Handling of Past Life Auditing.)

Further actions involve violation of the Keeping Scientology Working Policy, by considering and labeling LRH Scientology as "background" or "only for reference" material in regards to his new tech.

Misdemeanors are subject to direct punishment by order and for a staff member the punishment is the assignment of a condition below Normal Operation and reduction of pay for the period assigned.
Recourse may be had by requesting a Committee of Evidence.

The same offenses may be used for a Committee of Evidence but not both a Committee and punishment by direct order - one or the other.

Non-staff or field or mission Scientologists committing those of the above (except organizational) offenses applicable may have a Committee of Evidence convened on them.

Where serious, repeated or of magnitude harmful to many, the same offenses can be re-classed as Crimes by a Convening Authority.

So, Justin Craig can be assigned immediately a condition below Normal Operation. The condition assigned is Confusion.

I've been thinking that the Lovecraft universe seems more likely than the Star Trek universe.

In the Star Trek universe, you have a number of species who are at comparable technological levels. In more realistic universe, it is more likely any aliens who come visit us will be millions of years more advanced, at which point they would likely regard us with the same concern that we regard monkeys screeching at workers building a road through the jungle.

If the lightspeed limit that both Newton and Einstein postulated is true it is extremely likely that no level of technology that is possible will allow interstellar colonization or intergalactic conquest.

It may simply be true that the highest levels of technology possible will allow only the control of a solar system or a planet. Or some extremely close solar systems.

Several presentations on the fuel needed for interstellar travel and the added weight and inertia of the fuel suggest that it adds more and more needed fuel to move the fuel and on and on.

The amount of fuel needed to travel between stars is tremendous. The fact is that we are ignorant about the technology needed to travel at speeds near lightspeed and accelerate enough to attain these speeds and also to have the ship survive the journey or the much, much more difficult task of having human passengers survive the trip and arrive safely at other stars or galaxies within a single lifetime or a few years.

It may simply not be possible without radically changing physics. The lack of evidence for things like exotic matter may be simply because exotic matter simply doesn't, and has never and can never exist. Ever.

If the hard science we have now is right, no level of technology possible will make interstellar travel or colonization possible.

In that case higher technology species will simply never bother with us. They might listen to our radio waves if it interests them but other than as a curiosity we can be overlooked.
