I personally would not want anyone who ran the dirty tricks department for an evil cult to be on any board that handles any human beings.
Again...I like Mike and appreciate all that he has done. Please don't take this the wrong way.

And that is a fine line there. I kind of feel similar. I'd be more than happy to have Mike (or any other ex-OSA people who would want to speak out or act) in an advisory role or other supporting role: admin/moderator/secretary etc. Maybe even a very prominent one.

But I still feel like having former members of CoS's enfforcement arms to be in leadership positions is not the best way to go about it.
I apply the same measuring stick to myself by the way.

Any foundation with the purpose of helping people leave Scientology is going to get fairgamed by Scientology.

ALL of it is criminal, the abuse that is obvious and that which is not obvious.

If you went to a car dealer and paid him for a Lamborghini but he delivered you a Kia instead that would be a felony.
And that IS essentially what CoS does. They sell you states of Clear and OT yet not a single person has achieved these states (as they are described by Hubbard). Both of these examples, with the car dealer and the CoS are just different types of marketing fraud.

I understand if people saw crimes while in and did not do anything about it....who gave up and went into apathy about the lack of a justice system in Scientology as advertised.
I would hope after they leave this evil cult, they would develop character as well as a strong sense of personal integtrity....and will own anything they did to anyone that caused harm and if nessary (as in the case of Mike Rinder and Miriam Francis) admit it and help them

In our society - even young people can be held accountable for harming others as is the case of Paul Ferguson and his evil mother - who tortured Tim Ferguson and murdered him by starving him to death. The kid lived in a closet in the basement with a tarp and an amazon box

If you were a staff member and you knew it was a scam… why did you stay and support it ?

I was never in that situation where I stayed in and supported it after realizing it was a scam.

For some who do it's because they don't want to get disconnected from their family and friends or have their business destroyed.

Of those who were ever a Scientologist and then left only a tiny percentage of them ever publicly spoke out against Scientology, regardless of whether they harmed others or not. And of those who did I've yet to see a single one write up their o/w's and post them online.

For those who harmed people when in, by recruiting them into Scientology or in any other way it would be nice if they later did everything possible to help them. I don't see it happening frequently.

I don't have any hard feelings towards those who harmed me, including the woman who recruited me onto staff by giving a false picture of what it was like as a staff member. and of Scientology in general. I'm not OK with being defrauded but she wasn't acting out of evil intent.
She was a true believer and believed she was working to save humanity and that it would help me as well.
