Last time, I wrote about what it was like to run Narconon Connecticut at only 21 years old. I’ve also written about spying for Scientology by watching Bob Minton and stealing Steve Hassan’s trash.

And I’ve said how indoctrinated I was, completely convinced that we were doing the right thing for Scientology no matter what.

As a Scientologist working for the Guardian’s Office and the Office of Special Affairs, it was part of the brainwash that I had to have what they call a “high confront of evil.” But it may have been more that I loved gossip and drama.

Its interesting to recognize how Scientology's phrase "confronting evil" is a gaslighting technique to induce a person to not only accept and adopt the attitude, but to project given targets as being one-dimensional "evil demons". Which is to absolutely dissociate from any recognition as a fellow human being, and thus disconnect, have no empathy, and be capable doing harm to them.
