We’ve heard from a lot of people who were astonished and frustrated at the votes in Clearwater, Florida and East Grinstead, England as local political councils abandoned reason and handed Scientology leader David Miscavige public property or planning permits that were unnecessary.
Was it fear? Intimidation? Ignorance?
Patty Moher sent us this very interesting explanation of what she personally saw as an operative for Scientology and its covert schemes that targeted such people. She explains how the church builds influence with politicians, based on what she saw with her own eyes.
Reading that eight English councillors in West Sussex voted to approve Scientology’s application for an environmentally-damaging project wasn’t really that surprising. Most longtime critics are very familiar with Scientology’s antics.
But what many don’t know is that Scientology not only grooms individuals to become members of the organization, but they groom politicians or “opinion leaders” as well.
This is a result of the Office of Special Affairs (OSA) branches, Invest/Intel and PR working on each councillor and doing the following.
First there is ODC or Overt Data Collection. As in all things Scientology, there’s a checklist for these things that include: Pulling court dockets, litigation history, bankruptcy filings, property deeds, tax liens, and corporate registrations. Systematically collecting every news article, blog post, social media update, video appearance, or public comment made by or about the target.
