.LOL, we took you off the mailing list, but we are now mailing you. Priceless
It has to be said that this is as anyone who was "on staff" would know that this is typical Scientology. They feel that the bad message they send by doing this is worth it if only because "nothing ventured, nothing gained". You can just imagine what the person thought. Meanwhile, Peter the Letter Registrar thinks this is an ARC break. It really is a laugh.
Most staff have no clue just how much the rest of the world laughs at them. They feel that jokes about Scientology are offensive because Scientology tells them it is and because the STAND website tells them so.
The likelihood of receiving letters like that one, not just once but ad infinitum, and a whole stack of other bumf too is why I don't reveal my real identity on here (though anybody who's followed my posts from the old board could probably work it out).It has to be said that this is as anyone who was "on staff" would know that this is typical Scientology. I do agree the letter was ok and if I received it i might respond to it.The letter writer is attempting to write a letter using their own reality per the references. A bit of a ham handed attempt, obviously. But not a bad attempt, per the references, especially the lecture where he talks about Mumbo Jumbo Florida, for those who have read the transcript or listened to the lecture.
If I were in the cult, I would say that is actually a good letter. Go figure.
Edit:
It got a response, just not what the writer had hoped.
Yes, they would have taken it as a win. We all know it. It makes me laugh just thinking about it and then I realize that these people are engaged in something that is not normal and in fact indecent. One letter I got was something like, "Hey, Chuck! What's up?" That's it. Totality of the letter, lol. I wanted to write back and say: "Oh, nothing much" but I resisted. They would have taken it as a great win or something.
....snipped
P.S. If i receive more mail from you i will come to your org, and hand out flyers with the full text of OT III to everyone in sight.
One of Hubbard's idioms was "number of time's over = certainty." That's partially why we get repeative auditing process's, ask the same question over and over and also repeative marketing such as letters out. Just repeat the message. Some will stick, some will not.Yes, they would have taken it as a win. We all know it. Typical fast flow, write as many letters as possible, keep it short and to the point, outflow equals inflow, get the letters stat up, speed of particle flow. It's all just too Scientology.
That is exactly what I was taught when I was on staff partying at the church of scientology. It never changes and that is a good thing. I hope it only helps to damage the cult.
It took them 16 years to resolve the conflict between what the person was asking for and what LRH was telling them: "when in doubt, communicate.Church of Scientology writes to person asking why they asked to be taken off Scientology mailing list 16 years ago after attending Freewinds Congress.
