Church of Scientology writes to person asking why they asked to be taken off Scientology mailing list 16 years ago after attending Freewinds Congress

It has to be said that this is as anyone who was "on staff" would know that this is typical Scientology. They feel that the bad message they send by doing this is worth it if only because "nothing ventured, nothing gained". You can just imagine what the person thought. Meanwhile, Peter the Letter Registrar thinks this is an ARC break. It really is a laugh.

Most staff have no clue just how much the rest of the world laughs at them. They feel that jokes about Scientology are offensive because Scientology tells them it is and because the STAND website tells them so.

LOL, we took you off the mailing list, but we are now mailing you. Priceless :D

LOL LOL LOL

I am now convinced that Scientologists have reached a new dimensional depth of dumbness only described as Dunning-Kruger Effect (squared).

Yeah, when i read that letter I sort of went into a motionless shocked zombie state for several moments, after which I reached the same autopsy analysis that you did! It took me some time to recover from the dumbfounded zombie state that letter forced me into, but when I recovered my senses, I posted that letter and some commentary over on the STUPID THREAD.

Exactly!

Scientologists compulsively continue doing obnoxious things that
make the public reject, revile & ridicule them, because
Hubbard stated with certainty that. . .

I'm impressed, it's typed, in my day letters were scribbled with a Biro. Some of the writing was awful and much of it was falling off the page as the writers were falling asleep writing at 3.00am on a Thursday morning.

The likelihood of receiving letters like that one, not just once but ad infinitum, and a whole stack of other bumf too is why I don't reveal my real identity on here (though anybody who's followed my posts from the old board could probably work it out).

The sad thing is that the staff member who wrote that is probably working 66 hours a week for peanuts and believes 100% in the tech and in Hubbard's quasi-papal infallibility, and that David Miscavige treats his underlings with due respect and consideration and lives in the same accommodation and has the same conditions of service as other SO members do.

LRH LETTERS TO PUBLIC
L
etter-Reg-Hoax letters to public

Dear Marvin,
We received your formal written request to be removed from our mailing
list and wish to inform you that we ready, willing and able to do so!
However, to complete this cycle, kindly bring this letter into the org, so that
we are able to confirm you F/N'd on this cycle at the examiner. After that
there is a very short cycle for you to submit a Success Story and once again
be double checked on the e-meter to validate that you do want others to
have similar gains to your own.
You are strictly advised not to consume any drugs or alcohol one week
prior to your org cycle. Once you complete all that, there is a customary
Routing Out Form you must complete, which typically does not take longer
than 3-4 days. In order to help facilitate your cycle we have already run your
charge card in order to book 4 days worth of meals and accommodations.
While you are visiting, be sure to visit the bookstore because there is a new
LRH Public Relations book that is a must-have, even if you are no longer
continuing Scientology. In the book Ron reveals secrets you can apply
in your own business such as the chapter "HOW TO ALWAYS DELIVER
WHAT YOU PROMISED TO ENSURE 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!"

The letter writer is attempting to write a letter using their own reality per the references. A bit of a ham handed attempt, obviously. But not a bad attempt, per the references, especially the lecture where he talks about Mumbo Jumbo Florida, for those who have read the transcript or listened to the lecture.

If I were in the cult, I would say that is actually a good letter. Go figure.

Edit:

It got a response, just not what the writer had hoped.

One letter I got was something like, "Hey, Chuck! What's up?" That's it. Totality of the letter, lol. I wanted to write back and say: "Oh, nothing much" but I resisted. They would have taken it as a great win or something.

I do agree the letter was ok and if I received it i might respond to it.

My response would be something like this:

Dear Peter,

Thank-you for your letter.

I would appreciate if you would take a copy of your letter along with a copy of my original letter from 16 years ago and rout yourself to the word-clearer. Please get all the words cleared in my letter and then clay demo my request from 16 years ago until major cog, VVGI's.

Thank-you!

ML,
Type4

P.S. If i receive more mail from you i will come to your org, and hand out flyers with the full text of OT III to everyone in sight.

Yes, they would have taken it as a win. We all know it. It makes me laugh just thinking about it and then I realize that these people are engaged in something that is not normal and in fact indecent.

Typical fast flow, write as many letters as possible, keep it short and to the point, outflow equals inflow, get the letters stat up, speed of particle flow. It's all just too Scientology. :eyeroll:

That is exactly what I was taught when I was on staff partying at the church of scientology. It never changes and that is a good thing. I hope it only helps to damage the cult.

Dear Type4_PTS,
We received your low toned threats and filed it with a yawn. We are not scared of you
and your lies. Go ahead, send out your fake OT materials, it will only backfire on you
with degradation, disrepute and dead pets.
Besides, LRH never wrote the any supposed "OT III materials", it's a total fake.
Besides, you are confusing Ron's science fiction writing with Scientology science.
Besides, the Xenu story is fully copyrighted and trademarked by Ron, so if you
try publishing/distributing it we will bankrupt you with lawsuits for infringement.
Besides, there is no Xenu story, you just made it all up.
Besides, if you reveal the Xenu story to others you will be arrested and prosecuted for
murder, since it is a well established fact that people die when they read the materials.
Besides, if none of the above indicate, we are offering you a free ARC BREAK SESSION
to debug your awful case and get you back on the Bridge!
Besides, if you don't handle this situation immediately and Cease & Desist, I am going
to personally issue a formal letter of disconnection from you.
Much Love,
Mom

One of Hubbard's idioms was "number of time's over = certainty." That's partially why we get repeative auditing process's, ask the same question over and over and also repeative marketing such as letters out. Just repeat the message. Some will stick, some will not.

I sometimes think it would be good to write a letter to my local org saying that I have received a large inheritance and have been advised to spend it all on scientology and would like further details. I would then sign it with a fake name and I wouldn't put any contact details in the letter.

It would drive them nuts.
