Biden is vetting Congressmember Karen Bass as a candidate for Vice President. Bass has endorsed the Church of Scientology

I normally loath conspiracy theories, much less anti-media conspiracy theories, and I try to stay away from politics here unless it involves Scientology (which this comment sort of does), but I can't help but note that as of this writing a Google search of CNN's website website in the form of -

"Scientology" "Karen Bass" site:Cnn.com

- returns NO results. CNN has not posted a story about the video yesterday or about Bass's statement today.

Everyone other news organization is covering the story, including media outlets in the United Kingdom and Russia, but radio silence from CNN.

Seriously CNN, you aren't going to cover this story? I can read tweets about the story in the Japanese language, but not in English on the CNN website?

I am very disappointed.

It may have been many years ago but now it's just some people LARP-ing.

There are teenage girls on with Make-up tip channels on Youtube with more actual viewers than CNN.

What I love about this tempest is that it made it inside the bubble. I will ask around and verify this claim, but here is why I say this:

This is exactly the kind of thing that used to get under my skin while drinking kool-aid. I would keep an eye on national and world events without tripping over the places and sources where you might find anti-scn stuff. This is always such a super-sized bummer for a scio when someone gets blasted all over the news because of a connection to the cult, and gets publicized EVERYWHERE.

This cannot be missed. Just go a google search on scio news.

Then the dissonance rings but does not easily go away. At least that was the way it was for me.

So, it broadly puts the cult in a bad light, makes it bad for the pols to speak and say good things about the cult at grand openings (hopefully), and it creeps into the current cultists universe. The pol on display politely throws the cult under the bus, but it's too late.

The only thing better would be that Biden and company decided to see if they could push Bass through this without making the announcement that she is the choice. She would have to go in front of cameras and plead her case, further broadcasting this tempest in order to see if she can shake it off without soiling Biden. I really think that she may have been the front runner because of the downside of the other choices.

They are going to let her try to dig herself out. Fox News, how about that. If she can, she may still stand a chance. I am hopeful that she WAS the pick and they stick with her. The scio thing is bad, but the Cuba thing seems a bit worse and more potential trouble. I am hopeful that it gets tons of airplay, and she has to throw the cult under one of @Karakorum's buses. Many times over on many, many networks!!
 
The next question that is in this inquiring mind is this: Did Representative Bass, or Congresswoman Bass ever give the cult a break, in legislation or in any way, shape or form? Did she turn away? Or did she just like getting stroked? Or what????

Did she ever use her influence? Was she ever asked to use her influence? When has she met with church officials? What can be public record?

After gazing at all those "sacred & religious" pictures, I am nearly speechless ("Holy" Shit!)

Those photo-ops look like a convention of corrupt felons, sociopaths & terrorist trolls.
