I think he was at Flag once when I was there maybe around 2010. I don't know if there is anyone else here that can attest to that. That was the rumor at the time. The almost shut down the Oak Cove one afternoon, really tight security.

A few days before her remarks about Cannon, Bass was made to answer for another speech, dug up by the Daily Caller, this one in at a 2010 ribbon-cutting for a Scientology church, when she was speaker of the California State Assembly. In her talk, Bass praised the organization and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, for its dedication to "equal rights."
Bass argued that accusations of abuse against the church were not yet widely known or investigated a decade ago, though its practices had been questioned for years and famous former members were beginning to speak out.
"Everyone is now aware of the allegations against Scientology," Bass said in a statement last Sunday."Back in 2010, I attended the event knowing I was going to address a group of people with beliefs very different from my own, and spoke briefly about things I think most of us agree with, and on those things -- respect for different views, equality, and fighting oppression -- my views have not changed."
But four days later, she amended her explanation, which initially claimed that the church was in her district. It was not. But she was consistent on another point.
"Just so you all know," Bass said, "I proudly worship at First New Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in South LA."

Bass was also a speaker at a 1988 forum sponsored by the Democratic Socialists of America on the city’s scourge of gang violence.

Minister Tony Muhammad does have security when he is in public. I have seen such security on more than one occasion. He is the Western Regional Minister of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of the Islam. He honestly is a big deal.Curious. Why would he need security? I think that it was primarily identity security. They had to go to great lengths not to be seen, which required entry through the lobby, but then swift passage through to wherever he/they were going.Curious. Why would he need security? There was no need for "identity security." The involvement of the NOI with the COS 2ad public in 2010..The first large-scale introduction of Scientology to Nation members took place in August 2010. See:

At any rate, they made a fuss. There were security everywhere, there was a massive cleanup. Perhaps it was someone else, but the rumor that I heard was it was someone very very high up in NOI.

With that level of security -- "security everywhere" -- my guess is that it was Minister Farrakhan himself. Minister Tony Muhammad has a security detail when he is in public, but it is generally small and tight, and would not be described as being "everywhere."

Over the years, a number of Congressional Black Caucus members and other elected officials have shilled for Scientology only to be later indicted and convicted of felony corruption crimes, in Florida, Chicago, New York, and California.
Scientology has apparently had a long run of bad luck in selecting and enlisting so many corruption-prone politicians for support.

So here we are, several years now (seemingly) since we saw the lovely Karen Bass standing at the lectern on Sunset Blvd., across from KP. Those great words about the Liar from Tilden, and the possibilities of what could have been.
What happened? Was it not real? Was she the #1 pick, and they had to settle? Was it Fidel? Was it that there wasn't the time?
I haven't seen or heard a postmortem of The Honorable Karen Bass. This one got dropped, not enough time and energy with everything else that consumes MSM.
So what happened???
