Sydney Org

I found this from April 2024

Thanks Enthetan. I believe this refers to the original AO that was in Glebe Street before it moved to Chatswood. I would be interested to hear any news regarding the Org on Castlereagh Street that has the foundation/day Org.

I live in Sydney and I thought the only place was at Dundas.

So I looked it up and found AO ANZO at Greville St Chatswood, which still seems to be going and another one at Castlereagh St in the CBD.

Yuck. Sydney feels soiled now.

You are probably correct on that. The last time I set foot in Sydney Org was 1991. Rosy Lemon (nee vanderwal) was the ED Fdn and Vicki Byrnes was ED Day. I saw Pete Bevan in a Sea Org uniform. When I asked Pete how he was doing he said "Oh you know, up and down the ethics conditions." He seemed to be a crushed soul. I was taken aback by the rotten state of Rosy's teeth. I also saw Sally Chandler sitting near reception. When I asked her how she was doing she said she was waiting for Clive (Bloom?). That was a long time ago. If anyone has stories more recent I would enjoy hearing them.

I was at Auckland Org back in the 70s. An old friend of mine was Eddie Hamilton who went there around then and became a SO Finance Officer from what I heard.

I believe he remained in good standing. Never heard from him again once he left NZ.

Him and his wife were pretty friendly with the Smiths. Can't remember his name (he was a Civil Engineer), but his wife was Glenda. She was pretty active in the CCHR mob.

From what I know Sydney org is one of smaller ones. The existence of the AO nearby undermines any ability the org might have of doing okay. Why would you go on course at a small org when you could go to an Ideal AO with a couple hundred SO members ready to service you, many of them Flag trained. Scientology does this to itself all the time.

I think the Dundas org is mainly staffed by Taiwanese and other ethnics on student or other types of visas. So, just guessing here, I assume the other orgs are staffed more by locals?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the orgs in Australia so I can't give good answers.

Given what I know about AOs I would expect the AO staff to be pulled from all over the world, with a big chunk coming from Flag (and where they came from before Flag who knows). The Class V orgs would be staffed mostly by locals.

With Taiwan being the only place Scientology is actually expanding your report that Taiwanese are mainly staffing Dundas isn't surprising, I would expect that trend to continue. This applies to all Scientology organizations and especially ANZO.

Actually, I took a quick look at the report you linked. If I had to guess I would bet that the property in Dundas is berthing. I would bet that the CLO/FOLO is part of the AO, they probably have a set of offices somewhere there.

Haven't heard any news about Sydney Org for a long time. Does anyone have any news how they are going these days? Just wondering.
I'm going to check it out in a couple of weeks. Im desperatlety trying to find out if Dundas is still used for RPF. Its bugging the el out of me.
