WHY PEOPLE STUPIDLY GET
SUCKED INTO STUPID CULTS

This thread could have had many other names. Such as, WHY PEOPLE GET IRRATIONALLY FANATICAL ABOUT POLITICS or WHY PEOPLE BELIEVE OBVIOUS LIES or WHY PEOPLE GET SCAMMED BY RELIGIONS or even WHY PEOPLE WHO ARE IN A HOAX CANT POSSIBLY SEE THEY ARE IN A HOAX.

This is the same reason some people apparently go nutty and start raving about how a politician they don't want you to vote for is "LITERALLY WORSE THAN HITLER!"

You will find the answer here why all these irrationally gimmicks are not instantly spotted, shrugged off and laughed at.

If you have ever tried to have a reasoned discussions with someone who is in a religious, political or "social justice" cult, you quickly learned that even if you gave absolutely scientific proof about something, the very next moment the cult believer was still trying to sell you on a the identical just-mercilessly debunked lie.

EXAMPLE #1:
I almost hesitate to use politics as an example because people in political cults will go nuts and try to derail this thread, lol. Well I'll do it anyways. If you have listened to many of Joe Bidens speeches he has often condemned Trump by repeating that that Trump said that Neo Nazi racists and White supremecists were "very fine people". He cited a speech Trump gave on camera after there was an incident where some radical right wing nut ran over a protestor. Here is what Trump actually said:

Democrats persistently quote President Trump’s comment out of context, twisting his words to mean the opposite of what he plainly meant, namely denouncing extremism (link to story):

"You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. ... I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. ... So you know what, it's fine. You're changing history. You're changing culture. And you had people — and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally — but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group."

So, here is the first question. Is Joe Biden LYING when he claims every week that Trump thinks Neo-Nazis and white nationalists are very fine people?

No matter how many time progressives repeat the lie AND GET DEBUNKED, they continue to repeat it.

What's going on, right? Here are the possible scenarios:

SCENARIO "A": It is very possible Biden COULD be intentionally lying
SCENARIO "B": It's possible also that Biden is unintentionally lying.
SCENARIO "C": It's very possible that Biden's supporters repeat the lie because they are intentionally lying.
SCENARIO "D" I't possible that Biden's supporter are unintentionally lying..

EXAMPLE #2
What about Scientology? What is happening when Hubbard promises miraculous powers but Scientologists (despite never getting any miraculous powers) have huge wins and tell you they are overjoyed because of their magical powers? Are they intentionally lying? Are they unintentionally lying?

If you watch these two (2) short videos you will have the answers.

.

PART II: So I wondered what percentage of cult members INTENTIONALLY & KNOWINGLY LIE and what percentage just get swept up in the "conditioning" so that their mind does the work of "RE-INTERPRETING" the experience so that the bring and mind's eye sees and think something entirely false just really happened.

I'd guess maybe 5 percent or so of any cult (Scientology, Moonies, et al) actually are aware that it's all lies. And the other 95 percent are audience members watching the magic show. They came for the miracle and they get the ILLUSION of a miracle, which looks exactly the same.

Consider again that the mind has a little understood and virtually unknown function that "straightens out" images and information by EDITING IT SO PERFECTLY that there are no artifacts at all. You don't know you are in a dream, right? The same way the mind can see what the eyes see, it can also see what the brain WANTS or NEEDS it to see.

It is no stretch whatsoever (knowing now that the mind can UNSEE things and REPLACE them with other things) that a SOUND can sound completely different based upon visual expectations. (see video #2 above).

It seems, therefore that it is perfectly logical that the mind can holographically recreate any image, sound or perception. This may well fully account for people claiming that they are exterior looking down at the room. Or that they "died on the operating table and then followed the light and went to heaven where they saw their dead relatives".

Who knew that there was a full time EDITOR in the brain that was replacing reality with a "more acceptable reality".

A censor living right inside our heads!

Does this explain to anyone else why the modern day political world is full of crazed hate and attacks?

Does this in some way explain why some black people SEE AND EXPERIENCE RACISM where there is none?

Again, this phenomena does not let off the hook the manipulative 5 or 10 percent who understand that humans can be gaslighted and they do everything in their power to exploit that blind spot and operating system glitch.

If i was still in my writing mode, I would probably instantly start writing a story or a script about this. I am sure after this post is done i will dash some notes down and file it in my idea box for some theoretical point in the future when i have enough free time to write a screenplay or maybe even try a novel. Am I really going to write something in the future---or am I seeing something in my mind that is delusional based upon the very same illusionistic mind-tricks this post describes? LOL

LOL! Undeniably one of the dumbest damned delusions in cult history!

That one ranks way up there in in the top 10 Hall of Fame rankings, giving a stiff challenge to the claim that an OT can (if naughty) "pull the air cover off this planet!"

Although these idea may seem impossibly stupid to someone who was never in the cult of Scientology, they are not stupid at all---if one has attained the mindset of an "Operating Thetan" living within the gravitational grips of a gaslighting guru.

Upon reflection, the word "gaslighting" might be inadequate to fully describe what Scientology's c-suite (Commodore/Cob) messiahs to to their loyal parishioner marks. Because gaslighting is defined as:

"to manipulate (someone) by psychological means
into questioning their own sanity."

However, that's not exactly the gimmick Scientology deploys in order to demand donations from dumbed-down Dianeticists. Quite the opposite, in fact.

The core gimmick Scientology runs on its believers needs another entirely new word. Let's not call it "gaslighting" let's call it "gasLIFTING". Rather than tell Scientologists that they are insane, let's lift them up the tone scale and lift them up the OT scale--via the "gas" of hot-air bombast! Let's tell them that they are really "GODS!" with"UNLIMITED MAGICAL POWERS!"

Scientology's version of gaslighting (i.e. gaslifting) is therefore defined as:

"to manipulate (someone) by psychological means
into not questioning their own insanity."

REASON FOR ALL THE CRAZY: Think about it. If you can convince someone that they are capable of "pulling the air cover off this planet" or that they already "brought down the Berlin Wall" (by going into a room at home, staring at an e-meter and "blowing the Berlin BTs" that were holding up that wall)---well then, when you ask them to donate $600,000 to gain more miraculous powers, they'll also be convinced that they can use those powers to "mock up" another $600,000 any time they need it.

Thank you so much for my priceless cognition: OT = Obvious Trash!

SCIENTOLOGY PARADOX #973:

Per the sacred scripture known as "KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING":

"The only thing you can be upbraided for
by students or pcs is 'no results'.”

In truth. . .

"The only thing you can be declared SP for and
viciously attacked with Fair Game for is
whistleblowing that there are 'no results'.”

And finally. . .

"The only thing you can be awarded an oversized
completion certificate and a jumbo medallion for
is lying that you used your magical OT powers to
save mankind and salvage this sector of the universe."

.

.

"The only thing you can be awarded an oversized

.

Dr. Hubbard was the first being on this planet to use his magical OT powers to save mankind as well as salvage this sector of the universe.

Based upon the net value of those 2 contributions, Ron was given a time out and sent to his room in a remote deep-space location known as Target II.

Ron has been assigned the lower condition known as MESSIANIC-MESS-NESS. The formula is:

1. Go to your room and think about what you did didn't do.

Surrounded by a tissue of LIES and DECEPTION The cult purchased the JACK TAR hotel in Clearwater now called the Fort Harrison building, home of the Flag Service Org.

(When we landed here from Daytona after the crew left the Apollo, the Jack Tar hotel still has ashtrays and towels marked "Jack Tar Hotel")

They used a fictitious name "United Churches of Florida" because they were hiding from their actual name SCIENTOLOGY.

Before THE 1975 acquisition, in the late 1960s, the Rolling Stones stayed at the Fort Harrison at Guests.
Mick Jagger is said to have written "SATISFACTION" by the swimming pool.

One of my favorite stupids was that to get the Berlin Wall to come down it took a bunch of OT 7s going into solo sessions and postulating and auditing the other dynamics but if you want the BSRAW stat to go up you had to physically go door-to-door knocking and selling it.

LOL!

LOL!

You don't appear to have clay-demo'd Dr. Hubbard's "WALL-TUMBLING TECH".

AXIOM: OTs can only cause walls to crumble in remote places where there are no Scientologists.

It's one of those inverse-ratio equations wherein the further away an OT is from a wall---the greater their magical and miraculous superpowers become to tumble that wall.

By contrast, hundreds of OTs trapped directly behind a wall can do nothing to escape. Their powers don't work in such close proximity. This is the moment where Rod Sterling steps out and begins speaking directly into the camera:

"I direct your attention to one little dot on the map placed directly
in the middle of--nowhere. A desolate desert of delusion where dimwitted
Dianeticists believe they easily made the Berlin Wall 5,766 miles away tumble
to the ground, but they are fully unable to make their own prison wall with inward facing
spikes surrounding their cult compound even wobble slightly. Thus despite their pretensions
of paranormal prowess, they are pathetically powerless to escape their own prison wall. You're
traveling another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey
into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost
up ahead - your next stop, the creepy cringey credulous OT* Zone!"

For over a decade I have been reading ex-Scientologists complaining, criticizing and--yes--nattering about Scientology all over the internet and on this ex-scientology website.

So much negativity, people!!!

I have recently been forced to confront my own failings in this regard, and admit that i have been a bit harsh at times when people began giving their wins on "Gorilla Goal Implants" from 916 quadrillion years ago or writing glowing success stories when they prevented evil intergalactic aliens from "pulling the air cover off this planet".

I have come to realize that Scientologists for the most part are doing their ethical damndest to Clear this planet and create a world without insanity, war and criminality! Or in the case of the really BIG beings (i.e. the Commodore, the COB and the COJ*) they are not only actively creating a paradise here on earth, but they are big enough to salvage this sector of the universe in their spare time, when not cutting ribbons on new buildings or making movies!

I strongly urge all of you complainers to knock it off! Look at the positive side of life and people who are making miracles on this planet, like COJ*, Mr. Cruise. And knock off the com lag and answer his questions for once! I'll repeat Mr. Cruise's 4th Dynamic auditing question:

"So whadya say, are we going
to clean this place up?!

(at 0:42 seconds)

This is essentially the core value of Scientology. We're all in the RPF and the planet is actually our cleaning station, so let's get busy people!

* COJ: 1. (abbv.) Commander of Janitorial (services). The third highest ranking senior management executive post after Ron/Dave---held from above by messianic moviestar Mr. Cruise.

Perhaps the biggest lie told daily by Scientologists (to others and themselves) is that "SCIENTOLOGY MAKES THE ABLE MORE ABLE".

This lie grows progressively grows worse as they begin to dream of, pay for and do the "advanced levels" (Clear and OT I through OT VIII). That is where Scientologists drop off the rationality radar screen, fully believing that they will become so much more able that they will gain miraculous powers, such as:

- - The power to leave their physical body with full vision and thereafter tour the entire universe.

- - The power to levitate objects or (if necessary) "pull the air cover off the planet".

-- The power to (while sitting at home alone in from of an e-meter) think certain thoughts which
will cause the Berlin Wall to fall down.

-- The power to find invisible 75 million old space aliens that are ruining their life and forcing them to fly away.

- - The power to "postulate" anything they want into existence, immediately.

- - The power to save the mankind by trying to convince people they meet to buy a copy of Dianetics, a scientific hoax published in 1950 that will help them find and erase pre-natal engrams that are causing all of the their problems.

- - The power to glowingly rejoice in all of the above miracles without any slightest proof whatsoever, and yet maintain with 100% certainty that these miracles have been scientifically proven.

CONCLUSION: Scientology makes the able more able (to have huge wins on lies).

PRO TIP: Do not mention any of the above information (about Scientologists being able to lie to themselves) to Scientologists--or they will very adamantly begin to insist you buy a copy of Dianetics, to help you become more able.

fascinating questions that scientologists
are too afraid to ask or even wonder about...

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SCIENTOLOGIST PAYS
$600,000 OR MORE FOR MIRACULOUS SUPERPOWERS---
AND NOTHING HAPPENS?

ANSWER: At no extra charge, they are given a free "R" factor.

DIRECTOR OF PROCESSING
We've got really great news for you! The senior case supervisor has
studied all of your PC folders from the past 32 years and discovered what is
wrong with your case that prevented the 100% workable tech from working!

SCIENTOLOGIST
Oh really? What is it?

DIRECTOR OF PROCESSING
The case supervisor would like to "R" factor you
that you have what Ron calls a "resistive case".

SCIENTOLOGIST
That doesn't sound like 'really great news'.

DIRECTOR OF PROCESSING
Oh no, it's really great news!
Because the case supervisor has another
"R" factor for you that will totally handle this
ruin--and best of all, the "R" factor is totally free!

SCIENTOLOGIST
Jeez, that gives me a little hope, what is it?

DIRECTOR OF PROCESSING
The case supervisor would like to "R" factor
you that you have a new tech estimate of
75 hours to debug your case and then
you'll have miraculous powers.

SCIENTOLOGIST
I dunno, that's the same exact "R" factor you have
been telling me for the past 32 years. But I
still don't have any miraculous powers.

DIRECTOR OF PROCESSING
Listen, the case supervisor said this is an
"R" factor. That means a Reality factor.
So, this time it's like--total Reality!

SCIENTOLOGIST
Wow, that sounds like really great
news! I can't thank you enough!
.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SCIENTOLOGISTS DON'T BELIEVE THE
"REALITY FACTOR" THEY WERE GIVEN IS BASED ON REALITY?

REGISTRAR
So, I have an "R" Factor for you. You only
need to buy 75 more hours so that you can
have all the magical powers that you wanted.

SCIENTOLOGIST
I don't know if that "R" Factor is real to me.

REGISTRAR
Well, that's totally cool. Because Ron states
that whatever is real to you is real.

SCIENTOLOGIST
So...now what?

REGISTRAR
So, now the case supervisor said I should give
you another R-Factor. The case supervisor says
that if the 75 hour tech estimate is not Real to you,
your Reality is a lot lower than they thought--so
that means your new tech estimate is 150 hours.

SCIENTOLOGIST
Actually, now that I think about it, the 75 hour tech
estimate seems totally Real to me and I had a huge win
on it--so let's not start overrunning Ron's standard tech!

WHAT IS THE #1 "REALITY-FACTOR" SCIENTOLOGISTS
GIVE TO EACH OTHER AND TO THEMSELVES
WHEN REALITY IS KICKING THEIR ASS?

ANSWER: You are actually an immortal God with infinite supernatural capabilities! But something bad happened trillions of years ago and you lost all your postulate powers. So, just stay calm and do whatever Ron says is your next "bridge step", so you can recover all your magical miracle-making mojo.

IS THERE SOME REASON SCIENTOLOGISTS KEEP LAUGHING
AND HAVING HUGE WINS THAT THEY ARE MAGICALLY POWERFUL
GODS, EVEN THOUGH NOTHING IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?

ANSWER: Yes there is a reason. The same reason small children keep laughing and having huge wins while watching cartoons.

It has often been said that L. Ron Hubbard was a master plagiarizer, rip-off artist and gold medal winner in the Olympics of "Stolen Valor". Amongst the many hundreds of examples was Hubbard flagrantly stealing the "study technology" developed by educators Dick & Jan Halpern whose credits were entirely erased once Hubbard learned of their research and discoveries.

Even Scientology's marketing slogans were stolen---so that Hubbard could then steal more of his cult members' money. Let's take as an example, Scientology's most successful revenue generating engine, the "Flag Land Base" in Clearwater Florida. Hubbard trademarked Flag's marketing slogan:

"THE FRIENDLIEST PLACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD"

Does it sound vaguely familiar? Well there is an "earlier similar". Way back when Hubbard was releasing his book "Dianetics 55", there was a theme park that opened and caught Hubbard's rapt attention by reason of its astonishing financial success!

disneyland4dpuzzlelogogif.gif

Dr. Hubbard knew a good thing when he saw one---being the intellectual property pickpocket that he is.

But, he didn't only steal Walt Disney's remarkably successful positioning. He was an equal opportunity thief and made it go right to steal from others as well. Here's a comment made by a reader back in 2013 on Mike Rinder's blog:

Harrah’s Casino at Lake Tahoe had the motto of
"THE FRIENDLIEST PLACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD"
long before the Flag Land Base existed.

With a minor typo correction, Hubbard could have actually complied with "Truth In Advertising" best practices!

"THE FRIENDLIEST PLACE IN THE 'HOLE' WORLD"
(ref: OTs being imprisoned, beaten, tortured and terrorized
in the thought-reform "hole" for years, to purge their evil
suppressive-ness and show them the Way To Happiness)

(Flag is) the friendliest place in the whole world!

(Ron is) mankind's greatest friend!

Jeez, that sounds really good! I think I'll give them the next few decades of my life and $600,000. I'm sure my greatest friend in the world's friendliest place won't do anything bad to me.

SCIENTOLOGY DISABLES THE ABLE

LOL!

That seems to perfectly capture the essence of the COS (Crimewave of Scientology).

Especially true, since the only miraculous OT wins that Scientologists seem to publish in "Advance!" magazine have something to do with finding a parking space.

The only thing unmentioned was the secret of how "disabled" OTs were "able" to find parking spots.
