Yesterday we shared with you some terrific photos sent to us by former Scientology film director Mitch Brisker.
For years, he worked for Scientology leader David Miscavige, who spent lavishly on the production of movies that were meant only for the consumption of Scientologists, and that are forbidden to be shown to the outside world.
These were very expensive film shoots, Mitch tells us, and we’re fortunate that he managed to hold on to some personal photos he took on these sets when he left Scientology a few years ago.
Last time, he told us about the making of two very important “tech films” that were based on scripts written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, TR-13: The Session, and TR-14: Confessional TRs.
In today’s post, we’re looking at photos that Mitch sent us regarding the film TR-5: Why TRs, which was another reshoot he did in more recent years based on a movie that had been made earlier.
He told us that TR-13: The Session had to be re-shot because its star, Jason Beghe, had defected from Scientology in 2007, and Miscavige wanted it remade with non-Scientology actors who couldn’t spoil it by leaving the church.
