Sky Daily ... Rape charges

Sky Daily has posted a rebuttal video..... I found it here on Instagram....

I don't know what to say about it. Seems to skirt the situation.....entirely. Major deflection....

Is she referring to Aaron? I don't know.

She says she is not a Scientologist.... And is dismayed by the sullying of Hogan's Christian Message....

Just click the X and then you can watch it...

It doesn't seem to be a rebuttal video in any way.

Whether or not she is a Scientologist is irrelevant to the accusations in this thread.

Every post or comment of mine says this in my signature lines: Also, I am not a trained or qualified lawyer.

Google AI isn't a trained or qualified lawyer either, but it says the following about libel per se and actual malice

I'm not a lawyer either, but I did look into the relevant law when I was considering filing a defamation lawsuit.

The Google AI explanation you quoted actually makes the distinction I was pointing out: libel per se concerns harm and damages, while actual malice concerns the publisher’s state of mind.

Your original definition said libel per se was “defamation so severe that the target doesn't have to prove actual malice in court.” But as your quotation acknowledges, a public figure may still have to prove actual malice. Calling something libel per se doesn’t remove that requirement.

Well....Scientology has evidently sent a letter to the Tampa Bay Times .....

Aaron talks about it somewhere in this video....

I don't know, but it could be Aaron. :D

Google AI on this matter:

Google AI said:
The "bar incident" involving former Scientologist and anti-Scientology content creator Aaron Smith-Levin and Sky Daily (the widow of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan) occurred in September 2021 at a bar on Clearwater Beach, Florida. [1]
At the time, Smith-Levin was running for a seat on the Clearwater City Council. According to Clearwater Police Department records and officer bodycam footage, the altercation unfolded as follows: [1, 2]
    • The Confrontation: Smith-Levin had previously sent several unsolicited Facebook messages to Sky Daily. When they ran into each other at the bar, Daily reportedly accused him of being a stalker. [1, 2]
    • The Altercation: According to bartender statements given to responding police officers, a heavily intoxicated Smith-Levin responded by loudly calling Daily a highly offensive expletive ("c**t") multiple times. Hearing the insults, Daily's boyfriend at the time stepped in and punched Smith-Levin in the face. [1, 2]
    • Police Response: Smith-Levin was thrown out of the establishment. He initially intended to press battery charges against the man who punched him. However, after Clearwater police officers reviewed the statements from multiple witnesses identifying him as the verbal aggressor who instigated the fight, he declined to pursue charges. [1, 2]

I knew that Aaron had a "bar incident" in Clearwater, but I didn't know that Sky Daily was involved.

Which is why it would be seriously unwise to give credence to anything he says about her in any of his videos.

It's just a 1-minute video. Here's an AI-generated transcript of Liz Gale's video, so it could contain errors; it's better to spend one minute watching the video. :D

Hulk Hogan's widow and her son Hayden are facing some pretty serious charges, and there's a lot of information out there, and there's a lot that's not being said, or at least not yet. Now, for the record, I do not have a personal involvement with this family, but I will tell you this. This is a generational
Scientologist family, just like I don't know Danny Masterson. And when we talk about this today, you are going to see the parallels. How does this happen? There are so many nuances about what happens in Scientology when you're a kid, and you get in trouble for something. Maybe small, maybe big, and how this escalates into a culture of, I don't even know, socio sociopathy. Yeah, let's break it down. And I feel like I should apologize right now because this is disgusting crap, and I hate it.

I think she is just trying to give a "multi-generational scientology family" viewpoint.... But has negligible substance to it....

But I think for former cult members.....we can get what she is saying....

How does one explain decades long immersion in this cult?

Back to Sky's "rebuttal" video......and Liz Gale's response to it.....

This stalker statement / story from Sky has absolutely nothing to do with what the current situation with the law suits and that story.....

To try to drag this stalker angle into this situation is a non-event....

Sky comes across as innocent and nothing like the booze filled house parties, bar hopping...and other subjects on these allegations....

Makes me wonder what the PR angle of her video is? Who wrote it...? Why is she taking this stance?

I hate to see Hogan's name dragged into this thing.....but Sky is doing just that. Or the mass media is picking up the story due to his name....

But at least Scientology name is being involved also....

Makes me wonder what the PR angle of her video is? Who wrote it...? Why is she taking this stance?

My belief is that:
1) The PR angle is that she is a Christian and not a Scientologist.
2)
It was written by someone in OSA PR, and she is taking this stance because she was directed to take it by OSA or by her parents, who are both OT VIII CoS Scientologists (and they were directed by OSA to handle her daughter)

I'm not saying that she IS a Scientologist; I don't know for a fact she is. But if not, she is at least partially under the control of Scientology because she doesn't want her children to be disconnected from their grandparents.

Whether she is or isn't a Scientologist, OSA definitely doesn't want her associated with the CoS given the accusations against her.

Brooke Hogan Explains Why She Told Late Dad Hulk Hogan Not to Marry Sky Daily
Excerpt:

Brooke Hogan is opening up about her complicated relationship with dad Hulk Hogan and his wife, Sky Daily. “Somebody brought it to our attention that she was a Scientologist. She said she was a Scientologist but she said she left,” Brooke, 37, shared on the Tuesday, August 5, episode of the “Bubba the Love Sponge” podcast. “I started digging a little bit deeper. I don’t really know much about Scientology at all so, I’m just telling you what my digging did. She’s still in good standing.”

Brooke claims that she had a conversation with her dad and brought up Daily’s possible connection to the Church of Scientology.
“He goes, ‘Oh, well, she just doesn’t want to leave because she still wants her kids to be able to see the grandparents and they are the highest level, like OT eight, I believe,’” Brooke recalled.

There are reports that Hulk Hogan spent time with Tom Cruise. I believe there were attempts to recruit Hulk Hogan into Scientology.

Hulk Hogan Family Slapped with “RAPE” CHARGES

I think your title is appropriate Lee

The video you posted was very good, but no one has been charged with a crime, and as the trial attorney who was interviewed in that video noted, no one may ever be charged with one.

This comment is aimed at @Isaac and anyone else on this board defending the defamatory false claim that Sky Daily was charged with the felony crime of Rape.

Cornell University Law School has a Legal Information Institute (LII) which runs a website with all sorts of legal information, including definitions of terminology ( link )

charge

  1. In criminal cases, a charge is a formal accusation of criminal activity. The prosecuting attorney decides on the charges, after reviewing police reports, witness statements, and any other evidence of wrongdoing. Formal charges are announced at an arrested person's arraignment. For example, X was charged with murder.

If Melanie "Sky" Daily Bollea had actually been charged with a misdemeanor or felony crime in Pinellas County, there would be a record of such a case in the searchable database at the Pinellas Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Public Access Case Records Website ( link ).

There is no such record. If one cares about true facts concerning records of criminal cases anywhere, the proper source is office of the Clerk of the Court for that jurisdiction, not Internet social media.
