Scientology strikes out again as another local authority says no to tent plans

Wednesday, we told you that the East Grinstead Town Council had refused to endorse Scientology’s plans for a new car park at its UK headquarters, Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead, England.

And now another local authority, the West Sussex County Council and its Local Flood Authority, has also not endorsed the plans, but asked Scientology to go back and rework it with more attention to flood issues.

It’s more bad news as Scientology awaits the verdict of the ultimate authority, the Mid Sussex District Council, and whether it will get permission not only for the car park but also its giant tent that it puts up every year for its IAS gala (and that it has already erected for this year’s party, even without permission).
