[I told you I was trouble]

It is with sadness that I am letting you know that Free to Shine has died.

Sue was an artist and she made beautiful jewellery. She was taken as a teenager from her home in Australia to AOSHUK by her parents where she found herself in the SO. She wrote many poignant posts on ESMB (the original board) about her experiences and thoughts on the cofs.

She was a good person and her family story is tragic, she never recovered from the feeling of absolute abandonment from (some) of her family, as we all know disconnection is a very cruel tool that the cofs use to break hearts.

Rest in Peace Sue.

Her birthday was coming up soon (in February) and I'm pretty sure she would've been 73.

Oh no! I haven;t spoken to her much (in fact, hardly at all) on the new board but we had some good conversations on the old board, especially about astrology about which she had a deep knowledge. She was a lovely person.

Only found out a few days ago that FTS had passed when I caught up with a Melbourne ex. as I'm here for a few days and have spent the morning reconnecting (and getting back on this board).

Sue was a wonderful person who was never allowed to reach her full potential due to growing up in the kult. Thankfully she was able to reconnect with most of her family before I lost touch with her a few years ago when I drowned my phone and lost all my contacts.

She sadly had a lot of body issues before she escaped the kult and it was too late to fix them once she was out but she was a wonderful creative optimist who wanted to make a better world for everyone.

Sue was very fond of you too Scoots, she used to tell me about you collecting her to drive her into town for the protests "back in the day" ... she couldn't have made it there under her own steam due to her body issues and she really wanted to be part of it.

Yeah, I well remember the first time that I took her she told me how she was quite scared standing looking at the dreaded Melbourne Org with all the demon OSAbots inside so I was pointing out how shabby the place really was and how scared of "us" the kulties were because all the blinds were closed and they scurried away from us, even the DSA and her minions. We were soon laughing about it and she didn't take a backward step from then onwards. Amazing lady.

I had the same fears when I first turned up there - I think most of "us" still had that "bad things will happen to me now that I'm an SP" going on.

The Anons all loved her, as did anyone who met her. The kult really did a number on her whole family but she managed to get most of them back after a while. One badly kultified daughter in Sydney was the major hold-out - daughter's loss really not knowing her amazing mum when she really did become free to shine.

For someone who grew up in the kult and had her whole family immersed in it, she recovered amazingly well and was a very creative, warm and compassionate person, sadly with a sick, run-down body.

My life was definitely bettered by meeting her
