Once again, we asked appellate attorney TX Lawyer to look at the latest brief in Scientology’s appeal of Leah Remini’s lawsuit.

This was a “joinder” filed by the Religious Technology Center, the nominally controlling entity that has David Miscavige as its Chairman of the Board. RTC has filed its own brief in the case, which we showed you yesterday.

It’s very different than the one filed by the Church of Scientology Inc., which was smeary and vulgar and clearly written for David Miscavige’s pleasure.

RTC seems to want to come off more detached from all the vitriol, but as we explained yesterday, its main beef is that Judge Randolph Hammock allowed Leah to file declarations by Mike Rinder and Claire Headley which explained that if Leah was being stalked and smeared, it would have been Miscavige and RTC directing it.

Here are TX Lawyer’s thoughts on this new document…

“Former television actress.” Very catty. And that’s really the only notably catty thing in here. I’ll get back to that at the end.
