Alex Barnes-Ross keeps sending us good stuff from this year’s IAS gala, which took place last weekend under the giant tent at Saint Hill Manor, Scientology’s UK headquarters.

On Saturday night, November 1, it was time for the Patrons Ball, when only those who have donated at least $50,000 to the IAS can even get in the place, and tickets cost between $600 and $1,000 a seat.

The real focus of the night are the big trophies that are handed out to the megadonors who have forked over tens of millions of dollars to the IAS, but even the little whales need to be treated well, right?

Alex knew we’d be curious what sort of a banquet went on, and he sent over some images he found on social media.

Above, you get a glimpse of what the tent looks like when the rows of seats for Friday night are pulled out and the fancy tables for dinner replace them. Alex let us know that the tall fellow in the back is Leo Calcioli, one of the young scions of the Calcioli-Gaiman clan that are so prominent in UK Scientology. (Leo would be Neil Gaiman’s nephew, we figure, and he works at one of the family vitamin stores.)

Here’s what the table settings looked like. Sure does glitter, doesn’t it?

They were probably regged for tens of thousands of dollars, maybe hundreds.

It was a VERY expensive meal!
