Scientology’s slide show from its recent IAS gala weekend at its UK headquarters is up at its website, and once again it shows a massive party under a giant tent and all is well is L. Ron Hubbard-land!
This is the three-day event that takes place at Saint Hill Manor, formerly Hubbard’s home in West Sussex, where the International Association of Scientologists holds its anniversary celebration. And outside the event, it’s where former London staffer Alex Barnes-Ross holds his demonstrations.
On the first night, Friday, a large gathering of Scientologists was on hand to hear an hours-long presentation from church leader David Miscavige about all of the things your IAS donations buy. Of course, every year is the greatest year ever.
Then Dave hands out three Freedom Medals to this year’s outstanding Scientologists. And there were two interesting surprises: First, all three were from the US, a significant change from other recent years. And second, one of them was none other than the voice of Bart Simpson, actress Nancy Cartwright!
Nancy’s one of the hardest-working Scientology celebrities. We’ve written about her many, many times over the years, and she’s something of an enforcer, keeping other church celebs in line. She’s also OT 8 now, a Class V auditor, and she was the driving force behind getting the San Fernando Valley “Ideal Org” completed back in 2017.
