Leah won !! Cult slapped. Settles and pays Leah for its malicious malfeasance $$$$$$$$ Tony Ortega explains 31 July 2026

Ohhhhhhhh, that's interesting! Thx!

I believe that what I wrote about that was accurate. But I asked ChatGPT if it was accurate, and this was the response (within the spoiler).

Mostly correct, but one part was a little too absolute.

You were right that another person entering the same 17-word prompt might get a different image. Generative image systems are not photocopiers. Different generations can vary even when the wording is identical, and differences in model version, conversation context, attached images, and other settings can also affect the result.

You were also right that ChatGPT can use saved memories and past-chat information to personalize responses when those options are enabled. OpenAI says Memory can retain useful preferences and interests, while “Reference chat history” may bring relevant information from earlier conversations into a new one. Custom instructions can also influence how ChatGPT interprets a request.

The part I would soften is:

“ChatGPT knows me well and knows what I like.”
That is reasonable conversational shorthand, but it does not necessarily mean the image generator drew upon every previous prompt you have ever entered. Memory is selective, not a complete permanent transcript of everything. It uses information judged relevant, and some of the richness of that particular picture also came from the surrounding conversation. I had the full satirical passage immediately before the image request, including the office setting, the lawsuit discussion, the couch-jumping reaction, and the exaggerated tone. That context was probably far more influential than the 17 words alone.

A more technically accurate reply would be:

“Someone else using those exact 17 words might get a very different result. Image generation naturally varies, and ChatGPT also had the full conversation for context, including the satirical scene I had described. My personalization settings, saved preferences, and chat history may have helped shape how it interpreted what I wanted, but it wasn’t necessarily generated from those 17 words in isolation.”
So HelluvaHoax!’s “ZEN PROMPTOLOGY” compliment was funny, but your micro-prompt had a rather large invisible entourage following behind it. 🛸

AFAICT, Leah Remini has not won, she has not settled her case, and she has not been paid anything. Her lawsuit isn't even out of the Discovery phase yet.

The appeal that she won was solely concerning a pre-trial Anti-SLAPP motion made by the lawyers for CSI and RTC (the defendants) to roadblock discovery and attempt to exclude RTC and David Miscavige from the case.

Which is no small potatoes. Michael, what is AFAICT short for?

As Far As I Can Tell -- sorry
That's a new one to me. Hey, I just thought of another one that should actually catch on, ex-Scns will certainly relate- WWIT. Short for "What was I thinking?" :)

..

For purposes of clarity, the above ruling is legal wrangling IN ADVANCE of the actual trial. It was a feverish dispute over what could and could not "come in" when the trial proceeds.

Some critical advantages were gained by Leah for purposes of prevailing at trial.

What just happened was a California appellate court essentially "cleaned up" some of the pretrial issues (on both sides) and thereby brought focus to what the trial judge/jury is charged to determine in the final adjudication.

Ergo, no monetary judgment nor settlement is in play at this pre-trial moment. But it obviously is very encouraging news for Leah because the appellate court did not get sucked into the cult's well-rehearsed (over the past 75 years) gaslighting quicksand techniques, misdirection, "acceptable truths" and other such rhetorical booby traps.

CONGRATS LEAH. One can safely assume that the cult is debating if they can make this go away by paying enough to get Leah to sign a CONFIDENTIAL settlement. My guess is that the cult desperately wants to settle but is terrified to show that card (at this point) to Leah's lawyers without weakening their position in the case and any future settlement that might be possible.

My best fully speculative guess: At this point I'd guess that the cult would happily write a $100M check if the case could go away and if Leah was bound to secrecy about any settlement. The cult risks the numbers escalating quite easily to $250M or more when the ruling parties take a peek at the BILLIONS of assets the church has. So, I'd peg the opening chess move to be a $100M offer to settle and that number might well escalate up to $145M to $180M in the final settlement. *

Sending all good wishes to Leah that the trial will go well and that the settlement talks will go even better. And then I wish Leah "HAPPY SHOPPING!!!" when she banks the dough. LOL

* However there is another factor that could send a settlement in a different direction. The "exhaustion" factor for Leah. Litigation is an exhausting and very disturbing hobby. Litigating with a sadistically deranged cult is infinitely worse. Therefore, the cult knows this and they might try to lowball the settlement offer and hope that Leah will "start there" and ultimately take some pocket change out of the cult's piggy bank. Something like this....a settlement at $25 or $30M with a $5M downpayment and perhaps $2M each year for a dozen or so years. Leah might really start to think about that and might come back with a counter-offer that the cult ALSO has to pay all her legal bills (at the settlment closing) and she might try to bump up the up front cash to $10M. It's all in play, and she might be thrilled to bank $10M up front—and let the payments roll in annually for the next 12 years...knowing that "IT'S FINALLY OVERRRRRRR!!!" It'll be very interesting to see what they can settle on. I can't imagine the cult would allow a judge or jury to make the final determination of damages because that's a wild card that the cult knows can soar into upper space. Fun times for the cult, right? LOL

..

Yes. The one thing they're clearly terrified of is Miscavige being made to appear in court and having to answer questions in real time from "wog lawyers." So far, that's the one outcome they've been successful in avoiding.

Miscavige isn't only terrified about that possibility. Just the possibility that he might have to go through a deposition is like going through a Wall of Fire from his perspective. :D

I doubt this case will ever go to trial. Miscavige will send several Brinks trucks full of cash over to Leah before that ever happens.

There are still some tactics his attorneys can and will use to delay the discovery phase from beginning, but the Second Appellate District's ruling may drive up Miscavige's orders for Macallan's scotch whiskey into highest ever ranges.

TX Lawyer 16: The Leah Remini court ruling!

Since Leah Remini is not going to accept any settlement terms that involve any sort of gag order, I don't think so.

If the case reaches the point where a trial date is about to be set, CoS attorneys have failed to get David Miscavige & RTC dismissed from the case, and they tell Miscavige that Remini has a strong case that would be dangerous to put before a jury; he will have very little leverage.

Your logic is sound.

However life is not sound.

The "end phenomena" of a civil lawsuit is similar to the "EP" of an auditing process:

F/N - VGIs - COG

F/N - VGIs - CASH

An epic civil lawsuit vs a cunning, deep-pocketed and treacherously manipulative defendant can be brutal. Think of it like a 12 round championship boxing match. By the 12th round the challenger (plaintiff) has an entirely different perspective than the time before the fight when they gave an interview to the media with astonishing certainty and bravado that they were going to "knock out the champion in the first round!"

The plaintiff can be quite understandably exhausted once they are in the later rounds of vicious litigation. In such a law suit, like boxing, the defendant also has knockout punches and every one of their punches weakens the body and will of the challenger.

What difference does it make if Leah is able to talk about the settlement AFTER the case is closed? She has been talking about it ad infinitum for years and years and years. She's made a hit TV show about it. She's written a book about it. She's gone on countless media outlets and tv shows and podcasts to talk about it. She's spoken and written many MILLIONS of words about it already. So, what difference would it make if she talks about it more after she gets a big settlement?

All she would have to do (when asked after receiving her settlement) is to SMILE, LAUGH & SAY HOW INCREDIBLY HAPPY SHE IS WITH THE SETTLEMENT WHILE SHE IS LOOKING ADORINGLY AT HER NEW $71M DIAMOND RING.

Everyone will get the message (that she won biggggggggg), loud & clear!

The undisputed king of them all. The CTF Pink Star is a 59.60-carat oval-shaped Fancy Vivid Pink diamond with internally flawless clarity. It continues to top every list of the most expensive diamonds thanks to its extraordinary combination of size, color, and rarity. De Beers found the original 132.5-carat rough in 1999, and Diacore spent two years cutting and polishing it into the largest internally flawless Fancy Vivid Pink the GIA has ever graded. It sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong in April 2017 for a staggering $71.2 million to the Hong Kong jeweler Chow Tai Fook, which renamed it after the company’s late founder.

Perhaps, so. I have no clue about her. Never met her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

These past (anonymous) predictions from the old message board did not age well:

"Debbie Cook is not going to accept any settlement terms that involve any sort of gag order."

"Marty Rathbun is not going to accept any settlement terms that involve any sort of gag order."

I'm open for anything at this point. This whole scientology world surprises me at every step.

All I know is that I've seen the prospect of getting a large sum of money, a once in a lifetime shot,
can change people. I've been laid off by a few CEOs aiming to get multi-million dollar one-time windfalls.
My future was meaningless to them at the end of the day. The prospect of a big payout alters one's
perspective on life.

We'll just have to see on this one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@OSA Rep, I'll do the same, and I have a much more reasonable offer. Just ship me 100 pounds of gold bars and I'll STFU for the next ten lifetimes.
