My understanding of how those bombs are used is that after the first one is dropped, however deeply they penetrate, additional bombs will then be dropped into the exact same place to penetrate more deeply.

I have seen multiple experts, though, like the one you referenced in your post, who expressed uncertainty on whether this site can be destroyed.

You may be right that there is more to do in order to neutralize Iran's underground nuclear facilities.

That's why cops doing traffic stops first use "less lethal" devices (e.g. pepper spray, tasers, bean-bag rounds, et al) before unloading the heavy (lethal) stuff.

Surgically striking at 3 isolated nuclear facilities with bunker-buster bombs is realistically just the American military's "first date" with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Their "relationship" could become more serious in the future.

If Iran "plays hard to get" and barricades themselves, it's just a delay—because a SWAT team can always be summoned. The US military has quite a diverse portfolio of different SWAT units to mobilize, if needed.
