Thanks to Mark Bunker, we now have some audio from Scientology’s L. Ron Hubbard Birthday Celebration that was held on March 15 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida.
Previously, Scientology had posted a slide show from the event, which showed that for the second year in a row actress Elisabeth Moss was in the front row, giving church leader David Miscavige a standing ovation.
But another important part of that night’s event came near the end, when Miscavige revealed more details about the long-planned “L. Ron Hubbard Hall” that will be a major addition to Scientology’s mecca, the Flag Land Base in Clearwater.
The portion of audio that Mark says was leaked to him is a little more than eight minutes long. You can hear Miscavige setting the audience up for the reveal, and then a taped segment featuring actor Shane Johnson, giving details of the forthcoming Hall.
For us, the biggest piece of news in Johnson’s recitation was his description of how the state-of-the-art performance hall is designed for its seats to disappear into the floor as it transforms into a massive ballroom, “every detail set to honor those who make planetary salvage possible.”
