Are you trying to say that I personally scared Sheila away or drove her away?

That's interesting. Did she personally TELL YOU that?

Because Sheila and I always had lovely personal messages back and forth and quite enjoyed knowing each other on this board.

Or are you just guessing and mystically channeling some bizarre theory that the Hitleresque HelluvaHoax forced her under unbearable duress and terroristic threats-- so that she felt she had no choice other than writing super fun & friendly & complimentary personal messages back and forth with me? LOL

On the bright side, however, I do admire your fiction writing skills.

Honestly, after your (previously posted) nasty unsolicited remarks about me, I have nonetheless floated several friendly peace offerings to you. Near as I could figure out, while I was away she got into an exchange about Covid with another member whose name escapes me (he used a dog wearing a hat as an avatar) and made some remarks which could be construed as rather insulting. I figure that got her banned but she rejoined with a different moniker. The other member also disappeared after that.

I don't know the significance of the "51" in the name.

Oh, didn't know that Sheila left because of a conflict on a covid discussion. She is a cool contributor who always had a fresh voice and valued contributions.

Hey for volatile threads (e.g. POLITICS, COVID, GUN CONTROL, etc) there should probably be a 30 page long legal "Risk Disclosure Notifications" contract that ESMB members must execute before they are allowed to venture onto those discussion threads! LOL

Those kind of conversations/debates can turn diabolically ugly fast! But they seem so much fun before diving in! LOL.

Kind of like a young kid seeing an ARMY RECRUITMENT ADVERTISEMENT and enlisting. A short time later they are in Vietnam or Afghanistan ---inside a military hospital recovering from having a leg and an arm blown off from a landmine. Ergo, not really so much fun when you actually arrive at the body-strewn battlefield that the tv commercial didn't include.

Yes, Just Sheila is correct and she PMed me she was done with ESMB. The other poster was pro-vaccine and yes, he was convinced he was 110% right about the vaccines etc. and was pushing it hard. Not-ok!! I think was his moniker. I am sorry she departed, like many others. She didn't tell me the reason, but I believe Type4_PTS4 is correct.

Hum. I don't see them as haters. It doesn't bother me that some support Trump or Biden. I don't subscribe to either party. I have had my battles with some that post here, but I don't take it personally like some do. I think everybody has a right to their own perspective or belief and can express themselves as they wish. I don't take any of the "entheta" coming my way personally. I don't mind that many of my scientology friends still are active in Scientology. It's their choice. Live and let live.

I am sorry that many who used to post here have moved on. They added to the variety of the conversation. I think they took the comments personally, and felt attacked personally. Gadfly, Freethinker, and many others have left. I wonder how many have left. I was looking to find the poster who's name escapes me that posted her house renovations thread - she was very upset by the negativity. She's now referred to as deleted member 51. Did she change her name to that? Does that mean there has been 50 before her that have been deleted? If so, what a sad state of affairs.

Emma said she loathed the evolution of ESMB into the politics, and I can see both sides of her position. To discuss Scientology on and on get's boring. Since no aliens have arrived to drop off Hubbard in chains from his shenanigans at target 2, we are left with politics.

I had never heard that term before: In deontological ethics an action is considered morally good because of some characteristic of the action itself, not because the product of the action is good. Deontological ethics holds that at least some acts are morally obligatory regardless of their consequences for human.

What an interesting concept, and in opposition to Scientology's the end justifies the means mantra.

We live in polarizing times, but eventually the pendulum will swing the other way.

Lotus, I hope you don't give up on the board, and walk away like so many others have.

Thank you for your reply!

just to make things more clear, I never opposed or had any problem with politics forums.
My problem has been the non stop insults from some ( few, who know who they are) when we post an opinion that doesn’t align with their "OCD" about certain topics.

However, no matter how a VERY FEW may dislike when I voice it, I will continue to remain up front and reply with a straight forward answer.

Most of you guys are not concerned because you are gentlemen and can have discussions and consider different opinions without relying to either insults or « stupid « trolls name calling and declare. I don’t need that in my life.

This is it , In no way I have ever opposed any discussion nor any topic. This will be my last comment as far as I am concerned.

About 12 years ago I wrote on the old board that there was a member who I nominated the most gentleman and easy going folk on the board and it was you. Since all these years I still hold you in high esteem, because you remain just simply nice and gentle and open minded to other opinions, no matter what. I appreciated this from you Lee, in a world where just being nice is almost a sin.

As you may know I had to heal 2 cancers, one being the deadliest one, and had a major surgery to recover from. I am quite gratefull to still be alive and am doing great, enrolled full time studies ( American and Isreaely universities ) to begin a new carreer. I actually act as a consultant and all this takes all my energy. These challenging times forced me to rearrange my life ; I need to be surrounded with thoughtful and gentle people, because I became very fragile and EXSCN2 was not anymore a place I felt at peace, nor secure, especially as 2 persons were trying to uncover my identity and where I am from, because they did not " like" me. There is still traces of that on the board for those who doubt my words and " spend time to investigate"

However, I may drop by just to say hello,
to you guys. But, even if you wish, I would never move to france, unless it's in the Alps but I remain a french frog, a stubborn and funny one

Just before I go back home I want to apologize for an unwanted omission from my part, due to distraction and tiredness that might have led to a misunderstanding.

I replied to Cat Daddy that I never Had any problem with Lee and Enthetan but did not see he mentioned Hhoax on the second line of his post as I was not interested in going deeper.

Actually I shall have said that I never encounter any problem also with Hoaxy. Our interactions were none for a moment but he had always been a gentleman with me. ( He kindly helped me last year with an English concept to wrap up a course homework) If I ever had any issue, I would have told him personnaly.

However, misunderstanding can lead to opportunities to get our "stuff" out of the throat, allowing unexpressed considerations to become suddenly openly expressed and known. I took note of it!

So, no intention from my part to ignore he was mentioned. I am sorry about that.

Now I return to my place and occupations

We've met Sheila several times. We visited her town and she came and stayed with us a couple times. I spoke to her a year or so ago and she spoke about the experience on the board but took the high ground, as she does. I haven't spoke with her in a bit though.
