Scientology is boasting on social media that it scored a major celebrity endorsement recently, and it’s such a rare occurrence, you can understand the church’s excitement.
In a few days, Scientology TV is going to begin showing a new special about longtime celebrity member Mark Isham, a trumpet player and composer who is one of Scientology’s more reliable celebrity workhorses.
And to promote the show, Scientology held a Q&A with Isham at what appears to be either the Hollywood Celebrity Centre or Scientology Media Productions (the studios on Sunset Boulevard) with legendary songwriter Diane Warren (see above).
“I’m sad that Mark is still involved. I like him. He is a very talented composer and trumpet player. I understand why he’s still involved. He not that active on the Bridge. The church does not push it because of his celebrity status and all events he does for them,” former Celebrity Centre mainstay Geoff Levin tells us.
Geoff said he’s surprised that Warren, a non-Scientologist, would take part in the promotional event, but he doesn’t think she’s in the Isham program itself. (We watched the trailer at Scientology TV, and she doesn’t appear to be featured in it.)
Diane Warren is known for her string of hits for many different artists, and she’s a pretty well-known eccentric. So maybe it’s not too surprising that she’d agree to promote something for Scientology TV.
