Arrest Warrant Issued Against Scn Critic

I told you I was trouble

Suspended animation.
Probably because he accepted a large amount of money and a gag and then broke the agreement repeatedly.

I have no idea why the cofs is so concerned about him specifically though when there are (now) literally thousands of us saying what we like when we like but I imagine they are just attempting to exert some kind of imagined dominance that they hope will terrify all of us (lol, if so ... good luck with that, cult).

It says the warrant against Gerry Armstrong expired and COS is seeking to renew it. COS is seeking to renew it based on statements of anonymous posters on WWP who say that Gerry will be visiting California. There is no evidence the statements are reliable or that the anonymous posters are Gerry. Gerry’s response is excellent, btw.

Has it been renewed? Do they have evidence he has violated it within the jurisdiction, outside doesn't count.
The hearing (if that's what it's called) for the renewal is set for 9:00 am tomorrow.

As Gerry has pointed out, the evidence that he has any intention of showing up in California is weak, at best.

If he plans to speak in California, it's certainly not the brightest move on his part.

It's hard to say which way this will go.

Well, maybe he put it out there to see what they would do. He can always do a virtual. If we can have virtual debates then we can have virtual events.

We all owe Gerry a debt of gratitude. Why is this allowed to continue?
Gerry Armstrong *lied* to a Judge, in Court (about agreeing to settle the a case with the Co$). Then he fled the country to avoid facing the Judge to whom he lied. In so doing, he exposed himself to righteous wrath of U.S. Courts. Not because he spoke against Ron Hubbard and Scientology, but because he lied to a Judge.

But it is David "Darth Midget" Miscavige going after Armstrong, now. Hubbard has been dead and his ashes scattered over the sea since mid-1986. Darth Midget ain't doing this out of his non-existent loyalty to dead Ron Hubbard. D.M. must perceive G.A. coming to California to be some sort of threat to himself, personally.

Perhaps Gerry knows something about D.M. from Winter HQ (La Quinta) days the evil little fuckwit still fears he may expose ?

The church will in my opinion still go after Gerry no matter what happens. He hit them where it hurts, they still feel the pain even now.

Thanks Gerry, god bless your law-braking soul. If half the people in scn had half the balls you have, this madhouse would go down decades ago.

That's a very good point about DM personally going after Gerry Armstrong. I think you're right that there is something he still fears Gerry will expose.

As far as Gerry lying, I don't think it's quite like that. I think Gerry's feelings at the time were more complex than that and fear may have clouded his judgment. When Gerry agreed to settle, he may have sincerely meant to settle or he may have agreed because he feared for his life, his wife's life, or for the others involved in the court case. We don't know, but we do know from Gerry's statements that afterward, he regretted signing the doc and tried to refuse the money but there was no turning back.

I wish for Gerry not to have to run any more, or live a life in fear. I wish for Gerry some peace of mind and closure.

It's no picnic spending years running and afraid. I think it's gone on long enough. It's ridiculous that DM still chases him and uses his attorneys to continue to intimidate him. Gerry is a senior now. He is not a physical threat to anyone and never has been. Gerry is no unibomber, for goodness sake! At this point, it's just malicious on DM's part. How many years has it been since Gerry has seen his family or Calif friends? Whether he put himself in this situation or not, it sure would be nice to see COS actually act like the church it claims to be and show some compassion. Let the man talk. Leave him alone already. What the hell is all this childish abusive chasing and bullying bullshit, anyway? How old is DM, ten years old, with hot temper tantrums to hurt anyone he wants?

It's not like it won't all come out in Gerry's memoirs afterward, anyway. He's just one guy. Enough, already.

I think it is not so much malice, rather than a mix of 3 things:

1. Vengeance. DM still feels the pain, Gerry put them through some real misery.
2. Calculation. Cause others to fear Gerry's fate, make an example of him.
3. Just following Ron's policy.

Thanks, but I must have missed the part where DM actually was put through any misery. Do you have some information on that?

As far as I could see, he's lived a life of coddled luxury and cult adoration for decades and caused tremendous pain and suffering to others. I don't think he's capable of feeling any emotions beyond anger, vengeance and hostility, unless you add arrogance/pride as an emotion. He sure has an enormous ego for a little man.

I meant "them" as in "the cult".

Now It seems it was my turn to be vague with the term "them"

 Okay, but you did say DM.

Groups don’t feel pain but most individuals do. Groups may have individuals who project their pain from other things onto others and then act like a bloodthirsty mob to abuse and bully any perceived enemy.

DM has to live with himself. There's a lot of pain there. Everyone is against him, just ask him if you are willing to experience a choke hold.
