How to tell...

Hi. Can I recognize somehow if someone is a Scientologist when I first meet him/her?

Hi there and welcome! :welcome:

You won’t know straight away, but if you throw in some Scientology buzz words or names, it’s easy. Like tell the person meeting him/her validates your knowingness. You’ll either get a blank stare or a big smile. Or ask if he’s gone to the Org lately or met David Miscavige. Something like that,

They will stare at you, appear interested in whatever you say, acknowledge you (usually) with 'OK, alright, good, thankyou or similar words' and start trying to 'assist you' with any problems or issues you may have ... they will have all the answers for everything and (if you hang around) they will try to get you interested in books written by hubbard.

Ask them if they know where the nearest Dianetics center is.

They will be really good listeners and acknowledge everything you have to say with "okay, good" or "got it" or "understood".
Here is something you could say and you will know immediately.
Tell them you have an ARC break with your father and need to make a quick call to him so you won't exasperate the situation.

If they are Scientologists, they will immediately pick up on the lingo and will be all excited you are one of the "them". You will see good indicators.
If they ask you where you heard that term, say your room mate in college used it all the time. They did some Scientology. The term just stuck so you use it not realizing it (implant).

Yes, why the stare? I experienced that.

Yes, why the stare? I experienced that.

The stare is part of Scientology training.

Above you will find some humorous responses, along with the serious responses.

A serious response is you will suspect a person is a Scientologist if he uses words in ways that do not correspond with standard English usage. Scientology does a lot of "re-defining" words, and that creeps into conversations with non-Scientologists.

He might also be somebody who has left Scientology, but hasn't yet shed the mannerisms.

If you want to get a response from a Scientologist, use expressions that a Scientologist would use, and see if he takes the bait.

"Oh, I think that guy's ethics are out" (person is behaving unethically or immorally)

(in response to his stare) "I notice you have very good confront"

Warning: If he is recently disaffected, and thinks you are a still-involved Scientologist, he may start avoiding you, especially if you are in a work setting.

It's part of the basic training in communication but it also lets the mark ... target person know that scientologists are awake, aware and not afraid of anything, they are super beings and can 'confront and handle' the whole planet with that stare and you (the prey) need to know that, be ever so impressed and do what they say (that's my interpretation and I'm sticking to it).

:D

What for?
- You can easily recognize ANY of religiously addicted people by their devotion and being odd (from the viewpoint of an average citizen)

no, it would only be when they mentioned the word scientology or dianetics, or even Hubbard.

Not true ... I was once recognised as being a scientologist by a lady who had previously known one ... I was stunned as I had no idea it was so obvious. Apparently I was acknowledging her in the way we were trained to and she was perceptive enough to pick up on it and asked me straight out if I was one.

Good tells!

Here's another. The guy blinklessly drops in the word "com".

Example: "Hey it's great you came to this meeting so we could get in good com!"

Example: "Hey, even though it's great you came to this meeting, if you show up late again, there's going to be a com ev.
They are trying to figure out your REAL tone level. Not your social tone level but the REAL low and degraded being tone level after living 76 million years of lifetime after lifetime blowing up all those planets. LOL

LOL!

That reminds me---of another telltale tell that you are talking to a Scientologists. During the conversation they end sentences with "on this planet".

It's a multiplier that brings orders of OT magnitude status to any simple statement:

BEFORE
This is definitely the best pizza!

AFTER
"This is definitely the best pizza---on this planet!"

HOW IT WORKS: The setting is a local wog restaurant. Inside, a CLEAR and an OT are having pizza.

OT
(takes a bite)
Whoa! This is definitely the best pizza--on this planet!!!

CLEAR
(thinking silently to himself)
Wowwwwwww! He must be at the OT
level where beings can visit pizza
places on other planets!

ANOTHER WAY YOU CAN DETERMINE IF YOU ARE TALKING
TO A SCIENTOLOGIST WITHOUT THEM EVEN SAYING ANYTHING

You park your car and realize that you don't have any change for the parking meter. You ask a nearby pedestrian if they happen to have change for a dollar bill.

WIthout speaking, they smile and reach into their pocket, pulling out a handful. As they pick thru the pocket's contents (in order to count out your change) you notice that besides coins there are batteries, pen tops, rubber bands and paperclips.

:hattip:
