LYNWOOD (CBSLA) – Attorney Eric Early and Navy veteran Joe Collins, two Republicans candidates running for Congressional seats in Los Angeles this November, held a vigil Thursday morning for the two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies who were shot and wounded in an ambush over the weekend in Compton.

The prayer vigil with singer Joy Villa was held outside St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. This is on the heels of a vigil which was also held Wednesday night.

California 26th District Congressional candidate Ronda Kennedy had also been scheduled to attend. I find it interesting that she apparently didn't.
A bit of an update on an item posted earlier today.

This was shortly before Villa tweeted, "Feeling refreshed and beautiful knowing Jesus Christ is my Savior."

LOS ANGELES – This is a story of two stars with two completely different causes. Joy Villa is a singer, who held a blue lives matter prayer circle at the hospital Thursday, where one of the Sherriff deputies shot on Saturday is still recovering.

“Blue lives matter. Black lives matter. White lives matter. All lives matter,” said Villa.

“That’s not something racist to say. That’s unification.”

Joy Villa joins the podcast to discuss her book "Kickass Conservative."

Also on the podcast is Robert Spencer, author of "The History of Jihad" and "The Palestinian Delusion: The Catastrophic History of the Middle East Peace Process." He joins the podcast to discuss his latest book, "Rating America's Presidents, An America-First Look at Who Is Best, Who Is Overrated, and Who Was An Absolute Disaster:"

Robert Spencer has been accused of being Islamophobic. I wonder what Villa's friends at the Nation of Islam will think of her appearance with him.

The woman sure gets around. She's hitched her wagon to a star, or more properly The Trump Train.

Whether she's a phony or not the message is correct, blacks and minorities separating themselves from dependence on the government and the Democratic party or at least the far left faction.

It appears that Joy Villa is going to "testify" before the "House Committee on the Judiciary, Republicans" on diversity in media.

Nah, I know people will probably gonna call me a Co$ supporter, but what the heck:

I think Joy is a good speaker and that was a good speech, regardless if it came from a Co$ churchie or not.

At the same time, I can't help but notice the irony. Because I'm having a deja vu and getting the same "rich celebrity's view" I was so familiar with way back inside. In some way that speech was too good for Joy.

- Here we have Joy villa speaking for "freedom of association", while she remains a part of a church that practices disconnection.

- She speaks about being pro-life, while she remains a part of the church that practices enforced abortions and a "zero child policy" for the SO.

- She says that bigotry is "silencing the voices of Americans", while she remains part of a church that tries to muzzle and silence all that do not agree with it.

- She speaks about the racist words aimed at her and the verbal abuse she suffered, while she remains part of a church that creates hate websites that use the most vile language and drag the good name of its former members though the mud to "destroy them utterly"

- She says that she is "an American first and foremost", while she remains part of a church that actively infiltrated US government agencies, fails to cooperate with its local and national law enforcement and waged war on the IRS.

- She speaks about being committed to "diversity of thought", while she remains part of a church that actively thought-polices all its members who don't happen to be celebrities or rich donors.

- She says she wants to protect all Americans "no matter what work they do", while she remains part of a church that routinely abuses its own employees emotionally, financially and sentences many to a forced labor program.

All I can say is:
Joy, practice what you preach.

I made a comment on Tony Ortega's blog that I.want to cross-post here.

I'm sure that the Republicans on the committee got to select some witnesses. That they chose to include Villa is very significant. Her selection was not an accident.

Nor was it an accident that on the same day as her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee Townhall published Villa's opinion piece:

I’m a Conservative of Color and Proud of It—No Matter How Much Hate Comes My Way

.

Regarding Joy Villa's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee today, I found the official title of the hearing. It is:

"Hearing: Diversity in America: The Representation of People of Color in the Media."

Here is the official Committee page for the hearing:

Joy Villa, a Grammy award winning artist, testified at the hearing, noting that her diversity didn’t ever get her ostracized but her conservatism did.

“Until I came out as a Trump supporter by wearing a fabulous Make America Great Again dress to the Grammys 4 years ago, I had never been blacklisted—Yet as soon as I began sharing my conservative beliefs and my support for President Trump, I noticed a social chill,” Villa testified.

She recalled “back in 2015, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel talked favorably with Kelly Osbourne about one of my red-carpet gowns. This was before I was conservative.”

“Ava DuVernay, the celebrated black filmmaker who said she wants to use more black actresses in her films and have more diversity, blocked me on Twitter,” she added. “I was disinvited to casting round tables. I was blacklisted from industry events. I was not welcome on most talk shows. I was not included in pop-culture magazines or publications —unless as the butt of jokes. Rolling Stone Magazine told my publicist that they would not write about me because of my politics.”
