We’ve remarked in the past that it strikes us as unusual that among the new L. Ron Hubbard shrines the Church of Scientology has opened, they have recently restored the villa in the Canary Islands where the infamous “OT 3” story was hatched.
That was while Hubbard, the Scientology founder, was hopped up on “pinks and greys” (in his own words in a letter to his wife) while he dreamed up Scientology’s most notorious fable: That 75 million years ago, a genocidal galactic overlord named Xenu seeded this planet with disembodied and invisible souls that today are attached to is by the hundreds.
Only Scientology, through the “OT Levels” of auditing, through the levels OT 3 to OT 7 (at tens of thousands of dollars each) can rid us of these unseen “body thetans” left behind by Xenu’s carnage.
It made sense to us that Scientology leader David Miscavige had spent a couple of decades and untold millions restoring the places in Arizona and New Jersey where Ron first hatched Dianetics (1950) and then Scientology (1952). But that wild Xenu stuff from the swinging 60s? Wow. Now that’s a pilgrimage to make, right?
In fact, that’s what Scientologists are doing, and we got some evidence of that with the posting you see below. And we were interested in the admonition that in order to join this particular tour of these Hubbard shrines, you need to be at least an “LRH Hall Member.”
