Unlocking brain potential

This is a simply amazing discussion. Andrew goes into a lot about brain plasticity, how to improve learning, sleep, hypnotism, stress, states of mind, the difference the mind's ability to learn when young and older, how to tell if a person can be hypnotized, and I am only half way through it. Adrenalin, dopamine etc. Very fascinating, and not a dull moment.

Andrew Huberman is a neuroscientist and tenured professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has made numerous important contributions to the fields of brain development, brain plasticity, and neural regeneration and repair.

I've listened to a few minutes of the Rogan interview so far. Wow - Brain Control on steroids. (just being facetious)

I had to stop and clear an MU which was "upspeak".

Basically it's the difference between saying my name is ZERtel as opposed to saying my name is zerTEL.

I need to figure out what part of the Brain tells the other parts what to do.

ETA: l jumped around and listened to some other parts. Using scn lingo it seems there is an abundance of "theory". How much of it can become "practical" and usable by the general population remains to be seen.

Yeah - that got me too - Mimsey

"It makes me cringe. Per Wikipedia, upspeak is most common among American and Australian speakers of English and entails a rising intonation at the end of any and all utterances. In other words, upspeak (also known as uptalk, rising inflection, or high rising intonation) turns every sentence into a question. Dec 31, 2010"
