In May, Scientology celebrated the 75th anniversary of the book that started it all, the May 9, 1950 publication of L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
To this day, Scientologists refer to Dianetics as “Book One” to mark it as the start of the movement and also because of its central importance. And for the 75th anniversary, church leader David Miscavige put out a new edition of the book, which we told you contained some surprises, including Taylor Swift’s name, strangely enough.
At that party in May, Miscavige revealed that Scientology TV was getting a new program, Dianetics: Clear Talk with Jason Dohring, and the first episode would feature the Veronica Mars actor interviewing his fellow Scientology celebrity, actress Erika Christensen, and both were at the special anniversary program in Clearwater, Florida.
