The Digger disaster: what an epic movie flop means for Tom Cruise and Hollywood

I've kind of gone off many Hollywood movies these days.

Their creators often descend into what I would describe as an "arty farty" level of absurdity and disconnect from reality that I just cannot bring myself to look at many of them.

So I don't really go to the cinemas anymore and tend to read reviews before looking at them post cinema release.

Tom Has always been a bit odd. His involvement with the cult shaped a lot of his thinking away from what you or I would consider normal thinking. Sometimes it plays out okay, other times not so much.

Don't look up was one of those movies that had a divided reaction. Some loved it and its message. I saw the message, but found it to be incredibly silly and boring. Rather long winded. But that was only my take.

Tom's Top Gun movie I did watch, but had to roll my eyes over the absurdity it was. Sure, it was entertainment and almost no reality in it. It was kind of like watching an Asian martial arts/action movie. All fantasy.

So, I think I will be giving Digger a miss.

As with anything showing Tom Cruise‘s face or his voice, I look forward to not seeing it.
