Sydney AO and Org

Hi,
I was a member of Sydney Org during the late 70's and the 80's.
I was Recruited by Ken Nitshe who was the LRH Com for Sydney Day. I was recruited as the KOT(Keeper of Tech). after a couple of years on Staff with Phyll Stephens the CO.
Mark Whitta was the Flag Rep. Nick Cramey was Qual staff all round de-bugger. The whole time I knew him he had Psoriasis which up to the point where I left no auditing had cured his condition. Colm Oleary Was the Qual Sec. Ethel Mackay was the HGC and was very adept at getting PC'c into session. Peter Sparshott who was the nicest human being I have met and Martin Bently who shared a flat with myself and the Taylor brothers and Greg Tweedy who I believe ended up at Int in the Justice department.(SO).
Sue Cartwright was the HAS for day org. I worked oin the E-Meter Silver cert project for awhile with Cyril Holman. Any e-meters certified by Cyril were works of art and outperformed any not done by him. He was a master technician and would re-balance the needle mechanisms so they were perfect. He had letters hand written by LRH going back to the inception of the e-meter.
There was David Graham. C/S for the HGC. Bevan Berrywas a public PC at that time but I knew him through my sister who was flatting in Iron Cove in a complex.
Paul Schobel was the Lead Auditor for the HGC. I spent a lot of time doing my TR's etc with the HGC auditors. I Classed as a Grade 5 Auditor and also ended up in the Sea Org as a fully Trained and Interned Course Supervisor.
I Knew Rosy VanderWaal and her Mum and sister. I also Flated with Andrew Christie and the Herson Brothers Nick and Bill. I heard somewhere that Bill ended up as the CO for Brisbane org.
I knew Colin and Judy Gow and was gutted when Colin Passed away from Cancer. Judy eventually married Colm O'Leary.
Paul Schobel was also one of the funniest guys. He was absolutely hilarious very chilled out. Joan Brownlee was one of the HGC Auditors along with Her brother who's name I don't recall.
I worked with Pat Bloombverg who became the CO for Sydney Org and Harry Bloomberg who Audited in the HGC. David Bloomberg was working with Steve Stephens in Tours org.
Steve Stephens was also amazingly chilled out and had a great sense of humour. He was also one of the few guys who could sell Refridgerators to the Eskimo's. A superb facilitator.
I blew Sydney Org and the SO after Ron Passed away and the RTC was starting to flex its muscles. David Mayo got shanked(One of the only LRH trained Class 12 C/S's) and set up by the RTC. Captain Bill who was the Only Captain appointed by LRH apart from Mary Sue. had been Shanked by the RTC. He went on Ibelieve and helped set up the Association Of Scientologists. He also worked on and created the next OT Levels which have mysteriously vanished of the Grade Chart for the mainstream church.
I remember Jim Doone, he was great. Phyll Stephens was not happy with him though as he had been sent to St Hill UK to do the FEBC and OEC as well as the L's auditing. When I started he had only just returned. Phyll put him on a full retread as he was suppossed to be a new Senior Exec. Phyll reckoned he was a failed product. We loved him as he was like a favourite Grandfather and incrediblly spry for his age which at the time was his 70's. Anyway he and I studied the PTS/SP course which was part of the Staff hatting program.
It was hilarious because at the time I really didn't understand what I was studying to start with.
Anyway the above was just a tiny part of it all. feel free to comment and correct and any people who were part of this time period feel free to comment etc.

G'day, mate. Yep I was there but on Fdn.

Nick Cramey sadly passed several years back - cancer iirc. I had a chat with Annabelle Cramey on this board about it.

The Bloombergs and Schob.s sadly died still in the harness. Harry went from acute kidney failure, Pat idr (heart condition exacerbated by RPF maybe?) and Schob.s was sent back to the AO to die under the Aussie health care system rather than be a "burden" to Int. where he was.

Steve Stephens was still "in" last report I had but as a public. Dunno his current status.

Colm and Judee got married and had 2 (?) kids then went into the SO as part of the AO.

David Graham left the kult and was posting a lot on the original ESMB if you wanna track that down. Sadly passed on a while back but from old age more than anything else, unlike most SO members who died from years of poor health and neglect (see the one above I've mentioned.)

Martin sadly passed a few years back and not in good shape. Greg Tweedy is still at Int. afaik. One of the Taylor boys died 30 (?) years ago and Guy was still in last I heard.

Bevan Berry was floating around - I seem to remember he and Jam got out but can't be sure on that.

Peter Sparshott ended up dying maybe 20 years ago of cancer - was C/Sing for the AO right up until he went. Last time I checked, kult still had him on the official Govt. webpage as a registered $cientology Minister capable of performing legal marriages. I kid you not.

Rosy was ED Syd. Fdn. still several years ago.

Sue Cartwright and hubby Noel were somewhere in the western suburbs last I heard having cut ties with anything kult.

Think that's about it. There's a bunch of stuff on ESMB if you feel like going thro' it about the old days. David graham's stuff is probably the pick of the bunch and he was well-respected person here.

GDay Scoot. Congrats on your retirement. I am applying for the Age Pension myself. I don't mean to derail this thread but since we are talking of personnel, do you have any info on what became of Sally Chandler? She was on Syd Fdn staff in '78 as the Letter Reg. Welcome to the board Embers. Your story gave me flashbacks galore.

Kind regards
