I don't have my IAS membership card. What do I do?
Contact IAS Administrations (www.iasmembership.org) and ask them to send you a new IAS membership card. Or contact the IAS Membership Officer in your local Church of Scientology.
My IAS membership expires in a few months. Can I still buy a meter?
Yes. Any Scientologist who is in good standing with the Church and has a current IAS Annual or Lifetime Membership may own a Mark Ultra VIII E-Meter. However, to retain the right to own the meter, you will need to renew your Annual Membership or upgrade to Lifetime Membership on or before the date on which your current membership expires.
I am going on a trip. Can my meter be checked in as luggage?
Yes. Your meter should be properly packaged as delineated in Section Nine of your Owner's Manual, and you may check it in as luggage or bring it as carry on, whichever you prefer. Your airline may have specific requirements for the transportation of electronic equipment. Find out and follow these regulations in relation to your meter.
I lost my invoice with my registration code on it. What do I do?
Contact the person who sold you the meter in your local church and ask them to assist you.
May I transfer the ownership of my meter to someone else?
Yes, provided the person to whom you wish to transfer ownership is in good standing with the Church and has a current IAS Annual or Lifetime Membership. Also, the person will have to sign the legal agreements in a Church of Scientology before you can relinquish ownership. To begin the procedure, have the person’s IAS membership number to hand. Go to www.hubbarde-meter.org and click on “Sign In.” When you arrive at the “My E-Meters” page, click the arrow next to “Status” for the meter you wish to transfer. Then use the Transfer Ownership option. The on-screen instructions will walk you through the steps.
May I buy a meter if I'm a minor?
Yes. However, to purchase a meter, you must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will sign the legal agreements on your behalf.
Will my meter's charger work correctly on non-US electrical outlets?
Yes. Use the electrical adapter provided with your meter when it was purchased. If for some reason you do not have the adapter for your region, please contact the Bookstore Officer of your local Church of Scientology who can assist you.
How do I get another computer cable or other accessory item?
A computer cable or other accessories may be purchased from your local Church of Scientology or, if unavailable, from Bridge Publications, Inc. or New Era Publications International ApS.

No. The Mark Ultra VIII comes with a complete set of all accessories you will need, including a custom carrying case for durability and security. Also included are five sizes of newly engineered, lightweight electrodes for greater preclear comfort and more accurate meter readings. You should not need to use accessories from earlier edition meters with your new meter.
