The Times reported this morning that three advertisements Scientology placed in a station of the London Underground and that caused a controversy were to have been replaced this morning with new ads from ex-Scientologists with the Michael J. Rinder Aftermath Foundation.
Yes, the same folks who are responsible for 20 new billboards in Los Angeles targeting Scientology, were scheduled to make their move in London this morning.
But when Alex Barnes-Ross arrived at Tottenham Court Road station, the ads were not in place.
He tells us it’s a bank holiday there, and he has been unable to get through to Transport For London (TFL), which was supposed to have the ads in place.
Is it simply a delay caused by the holiday, or has Scientology been able to throw a wrench in the foundation’s plans?
We hope to find out more later today, and if we do we’ll add to this story.
