Rocky Lacky

Hello, I am trying to locate an old friend from the 1970s named Rocky Lackey (I am not 100% positive on the exact spelling of the last name, it could potentially be Lacky, Lecky, or Lakey, and Rocky might be a nickname for Rockwell, Roderick, etc.).
In the early 1970s, he lived in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, Washington,. I believe he joined the SO about 1979 just as I was leaving the SO. Based on the timeline, he likely moved out to Clearwater, Florida in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
If anyone remembers a Rocky from the Seattle Org or early Clearwater Flag days, or knows if he is still active or left the church, please reply or send me a message. I would love to reconnect and see how he is doing. Thank you!

I know you're here in search of a friend, but if you'd like to tell a story about your time in, we're all ears.

I was in for ten years, from about 1979 - 89, but didn't know Rocky.

Okay. Very briefly, in the early 70’s, I read an interview of William S. Burroughs in Rolling Stone. Burroughs had participated in Scientology, felt it was helpful to him, but had concluded it was fascistic and so left it and was working with other, non-scientologists to use biofeedback to reduce trauma. I was in somewhat bad shape at the time. Not having Burrough's resources, I when down to the Seattle Org on 4th and Pine, walked in and said I wanted to take a course. I found the TR courses to be very helpful, especially OT TR Zero, TR Zero, and bull baiting. I had trouble buying in DMSMH. But my life got better. I did get some auditing but never got a lot out of it. I met several people there whom I really enjoyed.

After about a year, I was recruited to ASHO Sea Org. I hitchhiked to LA, went to the Excalibur for the basics and started having trouble bucking the control. I remember I kept hearing Bob Dylan’s little neighbor boy ['M]utter underneath his breath, ‘One should never by where one does not belong.”’ Later, I was Chief Office of the Manor Hotel (Not yet part of Celebrity Center). There I met and was friends with lots of cool folks formally on Flag. Eventually, I was sent to RPF and then RPF’s RPF where I was in charge of much of the hospital renovation. I was there when the FBI did their early morning raid, with chainsaws to cut around locks. That was pretty dramatic. While on the RPF’s RPF auditing staff was ordered to find my RS’s, which they did. I eventually decided to leave. I had a hard time leaving, but routed out in 79. Mostly I deprogrammed myself, but still have occasional disturbing dreams.

I did accidently cross paths with David Miscavige once when he visited the the Manor. He did not like my attitude and told whoever he was with as much.

For the past thirty plus years I have worked as a clinical psychologist.

I was briefly in the Sea Org myself but only served 1 year of my billion-year contract, so I have 999,999,999 years remaining.
I signed up with the SMI INT Expansion Office in Clearwater in 1988 and did spend some time on both the RPF and RPF's RPF.
Upon doing lower conditions, I had the realization that I didn't want to be in the Sea Org any longer, and was swiftly SP Declared. Looking back, that was the best thing CoS possibly did for me, leading me to eventually WTFU.

Upon doing lower conditions, I had the realization that I didn't want to be in the Sea Org any longer, and was swiftly SP Declared. Looking back, that was the best thing CoS possibly did for me, leading me to eventually WTFU.

I had a similar experience with the conditions some of the staff were shocked that I did actually make an effort to rationally compare scientology to other groups and a[approaches.
