Only took a week for the Puerto Rico Scientology 'Ideal Org' to empty out? Yikes!

As usual, the grand opening of a new Scientology “Ideal Org” — this time in San Juan, Puerto Rico — resulted in a major street being shut down, some colorful local entertainment on display, and church leader David Miscavige presiding over everything with his usual aplomb.

It was a healthy crowd that took in the speeches and cheered for the confetti, and then everyone squeezed inside to take a look at the Dave’s newest gleaming cathedral.

Former Sea Org executive Paul Burkhart told Leah Remini that each of these garish places cost something like $25 million, but Dave tells his followers that if they put up the money, an Ideal Org will turn out to be a powerful magnet to get the curious to line up for courses.

And we’ve seen that new Ideal Orgs usually try very hard to be busy at least for their first year as the compete to win the annual L. Ron Hubbard Birthday Game. But that excitement only lasts a short time, and the older Ideal Orgs seem awfully moribund.

Well, we just received this video from a woman who works as an FSM, showing off the new org in San Juan and asking people to come in and change their lives.

Looking forward to the opening of the Death Valley ideal org.

Not surprising at all. I think with some of the earlier orgs there really was a bit of expansion that happened after they opened. Not anything substantial and not anything that could be maintained, but something. These days with the orgs more and more being propped up to open I'm not surprised to see that there's nothing happening, even immediately after opening. Openings these days seem like a photo op and it's been trending that way for awhile. Of the last 7 or so orgs I think the only ones that were "real" were Paris and Mexico.

They had something like 50-60 staff in the opening photo shoot? Yeah, standards have gone down.

You need paying customers to fly high. No whales there in Puerto Rico to siphon money from.

I've seen Miscavige do this over and over again, putting Orgs in a minority area. Ybor City, outside of Tampa, was one. It was party capital where college boys would purchase their drugs over a wild weekend. Puerto Rico has youth gangs selling drugs and competing in nightclub districts. Why, why, why, these locations. Maybe there are gov grants for uplifting communities in historic areas and reinvesting. Only lawyers know for sure. Else, it doesn't make financial sense.
