In the past year, Tom Cruise has proved his loyalty to his best bud, Scientology leader David Miscavige, by showing up at all of the church’s big annual events — New Year’s in Los Angeles, L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday in March in Florida, and the IAS anniversary gala in England in October.
But of the three, it’s the IAS event in England that Tom most consistently shows up for. And that makes some sense, as he lives somewhere over there.

So, with only a week out before this year’s IAS blowout, the church is pulling out the stops, posting numerous hype videos to get the rank and file amped up enough to make the journey.
As we’ve said before, we figure they need to get the dwindling membership motivated, not only because they know it’s going to be a three-hour speech by Miscavige on the first night, but also because they will likely face some pressure to sign up for more courses or fork over more donations.
So these cheerleaders need to be creative to get over that kind of inertia. You tell us, how well are they doing?
