What is FEBC?

Yes, Flag Executive Briefing course. Just want to say, Felice was fun to be around. She was Tech Sec for a short while at CCLA.
She could be pretty funny and at times have a somewhat short temper, but all in all, she was ok in my book.
She is missed.

The Org Executive Course (OEC) went through all the Green Volumes, and was comparable to the Briefing Course on the Tech side.

The Flag Executive Briefing Course was the Admin version of Class 8, intended for training heads of orgs.

When I was a pretty new staff member at Boston Org I heard that two staff members were going to Flag to get trained on the FEBC course. When I asked another staff member about it I was told an FEBC graduate was the administrative equivalent to a Class XII auditor and there was no situation within an organization that an FEBC graduate could not handle. These two staff when they came back would boom the org stats!

When they eventually did return after training I noticed NO impact whatsoever they had on the org stats.

The key bit of the FEBC was training on the "Product Officer/Organizing Officer" system, where the Prod Off goes ripping through the org to get products(stats) and the Org Off follows behind him and fixes the destruction and tries to better organize the system.

There was also supposed to be an Establishment Officer (Esto) who was supposed to get new staff recruited and hatted. Sort of like the HAS was supposed to be, back in the 1950s.

Nothing worked because they were missing having a "tech" that actually worked insofar as making people more able.

I think FEBC would be Flag Executive Briefing Course.

I remember seeing the name Felice Green in the old newsletters. They would also probably show what courses were completed. I have the newsletter dates tagged in the vintage carmelo thread. Start at the end and work back.

oh goodness. hadn't tried googling her before but maybe you found this already. i was around in that era so probably knew people that knew her. didn't read all this yet...gotta get to work.

spanky taylor would probably have known her if she was in LA then. spanky came from my area (santa clara, ca) and i think she went by the name sylvia pinon then. after she went to LA (very early 70's) and married taylor, then she was spanky taylor (name my sister knew her as). One newsletter says spanky pinion. Idk - spanky’s mother was also sylvia and I guess it’s spanky’s middle name.

I introduced my Dad to Narconon (Scientology’s Drug and alcohol treatment program) in 1975. He paid for 150 hrs of auditing from a Class Vll Auditor and CCLA flew to New Orleans to start the auditing, her name was Felice Brand. After about 50 hrs of auditing, he told me he had the most profound spiritual experience of his life! (I think he must have exteriorized). He has a persistent FN (floating needle) and Felice couldn’t do more auditing while he was in the state of spiritual bliss. She returned to CCLA.
