My wife did all three L's and completed OT8 and started on the redo of OT7 by DM. I also know about 20 other OT8, some I know did all 3 L's.

What I do think of them? Well, they are a auditing version of what Hubbard said in the PDC's of be, do, have. L10 is BE, L11 is DO, and L12 is Have. They are supposed to make you super powerful. You might say like the Super Power Rundowns.

My observations of people doing them is that the auditing is mind fucking, in that I mean it makes you feel all powerful. Without the rhetoric PR of getting more able beyond dreams of being powerful, or OT, they are useless and a waste of time and money, and destructive to the soul and well being. This pandemic of COVID 19 has proved Hubbard's rhetoric, auditing, training is useless.

You can say that, I'd say they became egotistical people with delusions of grandeur (that is OT or being at cause over life , matter, energy and time). It's a hard nut to crack these people, they have been well trained and speak their minds with force, ie recent Tom Cummins video on Tony O blog, and Tom Cruise leaked video of only a scientologists..........

I can attest to that only from the viewpoint, since I did not marry my wife while she was on the L's, but we experienced financial ruin when she did the redo of OT7. It was those 6 month sec checks every 6 months that caused financial ruin, for a few years. The cost of flights and lost time and the auditing rates. Somebody who is a millionaire no problem.

The thing is, now there is SO MUCH knowledge out there about the CofS. The jig is up. The cult is a national laughingstock. How can anyone here in the States be stupid enough to join anymore? I don't know that I feel sorry for Americans that do (if there are any). From what I understand, currently, FSO is staffed mostly by Russians and East Europeans. Anyway, I was in from 1992-95. I had never heard of Scientology when I walked in their door (out of curiosity). But still, I was naive enough to join staff and stay for 3 years. That's on me though. NO ONE held a gun to my head. I did do it to myself. However, if I had had the information in advance, I never would have gone in.

Families are hurting and loved ones have been lost. They are in pain. Sometimes active Scientologists copy and paste items from here elsewhere and negative comments just add to their pain. Celebrities or not, there are times when it is wise to set aside anger and differences and just show compassion for others.

Keep in mind that whatever a person posts on a forum stays on the Internet pretty much forever unless you delete your comments or request the Admin delete them. So be careful. There are some vicious folk who love to repost those sorts of things.

We all know what it's like to feel angry and betrayed and yes, celebrities are out there fronting and promoting Scientology and trying to get something that hurts others accepted. It's terrible, but they were duped, just as you were duped. But I understand your anger at the betrayal.

I understand where you are coming from. I come from a line of California self-made-men, the types that never touched the entertainment industry with a 10 ft pole. The celebrity cult inside scn and in WUS in particular always felt crass, even when I was inside. "Bunch of lazy, shallow, bombastic creeps" was and often still is my gut reaction to what was comes from that corner of our beloved lil' cult.

At the same time, I feel like we can empathize with real loss when these people experience it. You mentioned that "scientology kills", but Kelly Preston did not die of scientology, she died of cancer. She had the best med care that cash can buy - all the kings horses and all the kings men could not save her. I think we can feel sympathy for her family and John in specific, without feeling any less angry or critical for all the agitprop he made and all the bullshit he said.

These two emotions should exist side by side, there's no need to throw both of them in a blender.

I have read many of your posts. You have done a great job healing from the cult betrayal and I see you often reaching out lending positive support. I will heal and hope to be like you someday. I would love to know what happened to you, how you got out and what did you do to help you heal?
A big hug to you for being so compassionate and caring. You have done the work and give hope to newbies who come out of the cult shattered. You truly are a valuable asset to the ex cult community. You get it.
