We continue to see evidence that Scientology is struggling. It’s struggling to recruit new members, struggling to staff its facilities, and struggling to keep local orgs open regular hours.
Evidence we’ve presented here recently — “completions” out of the Ventura Ideal Org and the org in Boston — not only shows a small trickle of business, but also no doubt that the few people still paying for services are older, longtime participants.
Where’s the new blood? Well, Scientology does try, and we noticed that its UK headquarters, Saint Hill Manor, has posted numerous success stories with some very young folks.
Scientology preys on the children of existing members, and can’t wait to get them on the “Bridge to Total Freedom.”
We thought you’d want to see some of those successes.
“I am 9 years old, I was born into a Scientologist family and I just completed my first course! I was very curious to see what a course is like. Before this course I wasn’t as confident in my studies and found myself going past things which I misunderstood. I had to ask for help. Now, I know what to do when I see a word I don’t know or if I don’t have mass on what I’m learning. After my first course period, I wanted to know more and more so I got my mum to bring me each day after school to come on course. We live 45 minutes from Saint Hill. My Supervisor told me about the Birthday Game and I was very eager to complete my course and play the game! I now know how to help other people on their studies too. I realised by doing my course that if I learn to help myself, then I can help others and I can see the domino effect that creates. My future plan is to carry on with my next course!”
