G'day from Western Australia!

Hey everyone!
My name is Tee. I'm a never-in, originally from Scotland but have been based in Australia for the last 15 years.
I have been following the protest movement against the abuses within Scientology since the Anonymous days.
Since the dissapperance of Bryan Seymour on the scene and at the suggestion of a couple of other streamers, 2 years ago I started my youtube channel "A Voice Downunder".
I have arranged protests in Perth and Melbourne, but interest seems to have died out over the past year unfortunately. I am hopeing to make some Aussie contacts on here and maybe run ideas past each other on how to better spread awareness :-)

No, i’ve only been round a couple of years but I know a few people from the YouTube community, been on a couple of channels etc
Are you in Aus?
I'm in the USA. We had a lot of Aussies on the old the ESMB and once in a while they've popped up here. I suspect many or you guys have your own chat rooms which are different from ours.

We've kinda cycled through all our hurts and experiences in Scientology by now, and gone on to natter about other things.

Is that a mix between a tasmanian devil and a koala ya got there?

Haha it’s a Dropbear!
I would love to chat with some of the old Aussies. Everything is so quiet down here even though there was still so much going on. I’ve been trying to keep awareness raised down here but I’m pretty isolated by myself on Perth. I have friends in Sydney and Melbourne, but they are also on their own and looking for people to help them out. Would also love to share some of the Aussies stories But like you say people have moved on and I totally understand and respect that too. If you know of anyone that you think may want to speak out please let me know! I’ve been trying to get in touch with Dave Gibbons. Tory Magoo suggested him to me But he doesn’t accept messages on Facebook 😩
Thanks

AI Overview
A drop bear is a humorous Australian folklore creature, a fictional, vicious, carnivorous version of the koala that supposedly drops from trees to attack unsuspecting people, used by locals to prank tourists, with fake defenses like putting Vegemite behind your ears or forks in your hair to ward them off. While it's an urban legend (like Bigfoot), the Australian Museum even has an entry for this imagined beast, adding to the cultural joke.

We had quite a few Aussies. I don't know if they're all still alive as those here were smart techies mostly. They had incredibly poignant stories and some, to spare their family members, quit and go heal. Do you know Emma is the original founder of ESMB. I don't know if she changed her moniker. There is also Roger Boswarva. The old, old timers who helped Ron with original research, like to talk about mainly that.

The much dreaded Drop Bears are the primary reason a lot more tourists travel to Aussieland than ever return home from there. Too busy staring at their smartphone for proper situational awareness. They are always looking down instead of looking up, where the danger patiently waits.

Hi Tee

Dave lives fairly close to me but has basically dropped anything to do with his past. I haven't been to see him for a while so I hope he's OK. For a lot of us, the past is something filled with regret that "we" don't really want to trigger memories of. I've recently retired from working full-time so now actually have time to visit here as well as do a whole bunch of other things that I've always promised I would do. PM me if you want to chat. Can't really say that I'll be on here regularly, but .... :)
