[Florida AG James Uthmeier warns against opposing Scientology’s plans]
We wanted to get Mark Bunker’s reaction to the startling story today at Florida Politics, which reported that Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier warned Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector about what the city plans to do with Scientology’s request for a downtown street.

Scientology leader David Miscavige withdrew that request last month after it became obvious that the Clearwater city council was going to vote against it. But Uthmeier warned Rector that asking Scientology to develop other properties downtown (something Scientology itself was proposing) as a condition of selling them the street is against the law. And he warned Rector that some of his statements suggested “religious discrimination” against Scientology.

Oh, brother.

We think you’ll find our conversation with Mark an interesting one.

What 'other' properties would Dave be persuaded to develop downtown. Updating the rest of the city is the ticket to getting the street? Maybe they could add a few casinos and a 'rat pack' to the Super Power bldg, and have OTs arrive to test their abilities. NOTS VEGAS__with a reg at every table. Catholics get the bingo and lotteries. Chairman of the Board could pipe in Sinatra hits for the 'space drills' while giving tours.
