Last night Clearwater’s city council once again took up the subject of Scientology’s domination of its downtown, and Mark Bunker made the scene.
Council member Ryan Cotton had put on the meeting agenda the recent letter sent from Florida’s Attorney General, James Uthmeier, to Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector, warning the mayor that denying Scientology a road it covets might be “religious discrimination.”
Bunker was on hand to tell the council that was a lot of hooey, but he explained to us that the council (except for Cotton, and Mike Mannino), seems to feel that way too.
