Good vid chock full of information about all this turmoil.....

One interesting point is some sort of 1st Generation VS 2nd Generation Exes.....responsibility issues.... Which I had not considered....

Worth a watch....to get a grasp on the upsets...

Also the point that a lot of this blew up when CSA Attorney Brian Kent got exposed......

Also....is this new information that Mike Rinder turned over a Thumb Drive to the FBI with hundreds of OSA Docs?
Rabbit states that Mike gave Leah a copy of the drive....and Leah gave Aaron a copy....with the stipulation that he allow AF to do a video about them first.... Then Aaron let Rabbit read them. Aaron states that no one but a SO could understand what is in them..... So they need deciphering....

Aaron essentially said , in a recent live, that he classified all the documents because there was thousands and thousands of documents filed in sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub folders in a way nobody would go through that. Then he mentioned he never released it public since his task was solely the reclassification of these records.

It would be interesting to know the time line on these OSA Docs.....

I assume Mike Rinder got them around the time he left Scientology....

But when did he give them to the FBI?

When did he give them to Leah?

Did he give them to the Aftermath Foundation?

When did Leah give them to Aaron?

If there are thousands of Docs.....what is being done to move these along to some sort of Release to the public?

Hi ,
if I may just add ,
was Marty R. also in timeline of things to happen.?Was Marty involved in this?
Is there something missing in ours timeline , that we going to find out in next few years?
I am not Marty boy , but I think there is more in that story with MR , LR and Marty R....
thanks for reading this,
Big hello from LRHs Bulgravia.

Not to me.

Perhaps the fact that is was a thumb drive with actual chirch-produced documents was somewhat new. But at least since early 2019 I had known that Mike gave a lot of info to the FBI (apparently nothing more came out of it). So while some of the details were new, the grand scheme of things was not.

Rabbit states that Mike gave Leah a copy of the drive....and Leah gave Aaron a copy....with the stipulation that he allow AF to do a video about them first...
Not so much the AF iutself, rather than specific peoaple. I believe the idea was for Marc Headley to do it.
Also, as far as I'm aware this whole drive-copy-sharing took place when Aaron was still very much part of the AF's board.

If there are thousands of Docs.....what is being done to move these along to some sort of Release to the public?
Best question yet! I hereby nominate this as the post of the week!

When this information was given to the FBI many years ago why did nothing happen?

That's what I really want to know.

I suspect that if it were up to the FBI there would have been charges against individuals within CoS. Although individuals within the FBI have been safepointed, that's not the case with the entire agency. What's stopping justice from happening is at a higher level within the Dept of Justice or above.

Rest assured: You and me both!

EDIT: I believe our former colleagues from OSA as well as high-powered external lawyers might be a part of this puzzle.

I agree that they are the most likely suspects. John P. Coale may be one of the high-powered external lawyers. I believe he's had access to the DOJ as well as one or more former presidents.

Also, celebrities have been used to safepoint as well. When I was at SOCO during the late 80's Travolta met with Nancy Reagan on multiple occasions and President Reagan was with her. Travolta was being run by a senior exec at SOCO.

That it was on a Thumb Drive struck me as odd also..... I would think that Scientology wouldn't put such information on a computer...
(INCOMM was coming into play?) But I figured INCOMM was only for stats and such....not that I knew anything about that....

Yes, wanted to ask you @Karakorum if this was done..... "Thousands of Docs..." all on a computer...?

If there are thousands of Docs.....and it is all OSA stuff....then the Acronyms, Operation Code words, Operation titles.....and on and on must be very difficult to decipher for even a SO member.... Let alone the sheer volume of docs....to go thru....

Getting this information collated and correlated and deciphered is not a one man operation......and could take months if not years...

Since Mike Rinder made the Thumb Drive.....he would know which computer....and what network that computer was used for.....and who used that network....who worked on those files.....and what these file pertained too......I would think.

More information is needed on this!

The Thumb Drive should also be forensically examined to see if anything has been erased......if that is possible....

The Thumb Drive ( thousands of files / docs ) does make sense to me......

Let us say that "upper management" in Scientology has ....just for an example....been using Private Investigators for decades....

Those Private Investigators are usually hired via Lawyers.....( I believe so....but not necessarily true in this case...?) Or Private Investigation Firms.... They would have to make computer doc Reports. This couldn't have all been hand written .....for decades. I guess there could be Voice Files.....but these could be transcribed...to computer docs too....

Then those PIs would generate tons of Reports.....and those Reports would ...in this day an age....be Computer Files....

They would put the info on a computer at that time (late 2000s). What they normally would not do is to allow people with thumb-drives. They would also have all the usb ports 'locked' so that even if you had a flash drive or a portable device, it would not allow you to establish a connection..

I can only imagine that as IC of OSA, Mike knew the password to disable the usb lock and that nobody would search him for flash drives etc because of his rank..

Or perhaps people just assumed that if he is downloading stuff to a drive, then it obviously must be so because Davey ordered him to. Who knows, I was never posted at gold. I don;t know how security worked there. What I described above was how it was at the CLO WUS.

The Thumb Drive should also be forensically examined to see if anything has been erased......if that is possible....
Again, based on my own experience: If there was any external drive to be used fr anything other than archives/record keeping, then it would be 'worked to death' with stuff being constanly recorded and deleted to make room for new stuff that is used etc. So the same drive would likely eb overwritten constanly, if it was some 'duty drive'.

Again, that is how it was at 'cheap PAC'. Gold might have been diff.

But when did he give them to the FBI?

From Mike Rinder's blog post dated Feb 8, 2024 It's Never a Bad Day for a Good Smear which I find difficult to believe you haven't already read.

Mike Rinder said:
There was also a new claim that the “recently released OSA documents” were somehow proof of my involvement in crimes, for which I was desperately trying to evade prosecution. All of those “OSA documents” were on my thumb drive when I escaped [June 9, 2007 per his book]. I gave them to the FBI in the first meeting I had with them in 2010, a fact I have testified to under oath (that testimony was filed again a week ago in Leah Remini’s civil case).

Yea...you might thing so....but I don't follow much of what's out there...

I did watch a short live vid yesterday of several ladies protesting at the Org in Hawaii last Sunday.....good one.
And a couple of vids about protestors arrested in Los Angeles a couple days ago....

But it is interesting that Mike calls it "my thumb drive." To me that means it was his....and his to use ......

This doesn't sound like he bought a new thumb drive and surreptitiously downloaded a computer's hard drive.

Sounds more like it was his "working" drive....for his job.

But that doesn't preclude him then taking his drive and downloading other files.....I guess.

Well....we'll all have to speculate until some information about this drive and what's on it.....it released to the public.

Well, ask Aaron Smith-Levin to post copies of all those documents on Scribd , since he has repeatedly claimed to have a copy of Rinder's OSA thumb drive.

Aaron said that upon giving him the Files.....Leah asked Aaron not to make a video about them until ( I assume ) Mike and the Aftermath Foundation did one first....

So he hasn't.....

But I agree, there should be some sort of team of knowledgeable EX SO working on these files to decipher them and put them in some sort of order......for public consumption. Or not...just release the entire thing.

Since Mike Rinder has stated that the thumb drive were his working files.....perhaps he could make a public statement about what is in the files.....and what he was "working" on....that would be in the files.

Even back around 1980, Scientology was using computers, mostly for communications. Telex traffic into Flag was received by computer, sorted out as to who got a copy of the traffic. There would be big daily printouts of all Flag bureau telex traffic, which senior people got copies of. So that the senior people all knew what was going on, and who was issuing what orders into orgs, and what orgs were reporting.

All that comm traffic also got passed to CMO to go "uplines" to LRH. LRH might not have read it, but he would want it available to him if he developed an interest. I think the big computerization push by LRH came from his desire to be able to look up any bit of information, and somebody mentioning to him that having stuff on computer meant that he, for example, could tell a Messenger that he wanted a listing of all traffic which mentioned "Joe Shmoe" and have it instantly available.

Miscavige is also a notorious micro manager. I could see him wanting to have all sorts of communication and documents available to him. And findable by a simple search, should he develop an interest. That means it would need to be on computer.

Well, I have no direct knowledge how Miscavige and his inner circle worked. But I strongly suspect it was not all that different from what we had in the CLO.. I doubt that it was all integrated into one single computer system in 2007.

There was the central archives. Then OSA archives. Then all sorts of units had their specialized documentation (like INV). The closest to a centralized system we had was the 'mainframe' aka 'denver' aka 'that DOS-looking dinosaur of a system with green on black letters'. It was very cumbersome to use, because just like with DOS it was all just keyboard-commands and you had to know the specific commands by heart to access some fo the subsets and functions. And even if you knew all that and had a lot of experieiance at using it, there were still ethics documents that existed only in paper form in some archives. We had a second much more modern system, but that included only relatively recent stuff. For anything older than 4 years we had to go to the archives or check denver-the-dinosaur.
Also, much of the digital documents at that time were very bad - overexposed scans of blurry, badly angled, faded polaroid photos of documents etc. When we were working an INV case we repeatedly had to send communications to ADU or the scanning team to 're-do' the scan of the document, because frequently what was in the system was entirely unusable.

Also, OSA would keeep asking us to get them som e specific docs or just "give us all you have on Joe Shmoe" type of requests. Sometimes CMO would come down and ask for similar stuff, probably because someone at int wanted it.

All of that is a long-wided way of saying: in 2007 there was so much data spread over several systems, plus also a lot of it only in paper form... I doubt a single centralized computer system existed back then, even for Dave's use. It is possible that now there is something like it, if they digitized all the archived paper documents and migrated denver into some CRM-style system.
