LISTEN to what she said after the vote on Agenda 8.2.....
"No grants, no incentives, no subsidies" It's a 200 million dollar private investment which is more than anything Clearwater has gotten in 50 yrs. Scientology inc gets the green light.
Anyway, we are seeing lots of distrust over government GRANT money siphoned up for 'special programs.' Once it's received, it only gets additional subsidies as long as it serves liberal needs. The conservatives may regard Scientology to be the lesser of 2 Evils there in Clearwater. Particularly if they've already peeked at the docket of community proposals for the next year.
Of course, money equals changed futures. But, what, exactly, encourages generosity as regards county grants and subsidies for a budget year? Cash is king when you don't want to be subject to an agenda.
Maybe the big screen is a neutral benefit and not a cultural one. A lesser of two evils.
