That photo of Ron would probably NOT have been taken in Las Vegas. Someone at the Vegas Org who knew Ron said he avoided Vegas because it was "still too hot with radiation" from the 1950's tests. Her ex husband was a big shot at the Vegas Org back in the early days. They invited Ron for a visit but he declined.

I spent about six months as a staff auditor at the Vegas Org in the mid 1970's and the roulette wheel reminded me of it. Among others I audited a professional gambler, a card dealer and a showgirl. Memories - lol

Interesting! Talking about professional gamblers, I wonder if the one you audited was the same dude who later showed up at Flag for auditing. I thought it was curious that they didn't send him to Ethics to clay demo Ron's newest "wholetrack discovery" that was written up as an HCO Bulletin about GAMBLERS.

An obsessive gambler is a psychotic just like a drug addict or an alcoholic.

They are handled the way you handle any other psychotic. They don’t have to do anything for real in life because it all depends on chance and never on themselves. So you have them on the minus Effect Scale.

Life isn’t real to a psychotic gambler and therefore they never really buckle down to anything. Consequences are unreal to them and criminal acts are incomprehensible as nothing is real anyway.

Getting off overts is nothing to such people because they are not there and take no responsibility for them. Everything else is responsible—not them. Thus you have to find the trail to the R/Ses on the subject and discharge those.

This aspect of such a case is the emergency number one handling.

It has to be recognized for what it is—PSYCHOSIS.

In order to accept such an illegal PC on Flag lines there must have been some reason. Apparently that "Gambler" PC must have been in-ethics when he was at the Registrar paying $60K for auditing. Then, at some point later, he must have become a "NO RESPONSIBILITY CRIMINAL PSYCHOTIC" (after his check cleared).

PRO-TIP: The "Gambler" is like all of Hubbard's other "breakthroughs" (e.g. "Pain & Sex", "wholetrack psychs who are still industriously enslaving all beings on this planet" and "Jokers & Degraders", "The psychotic-break being who is magically cured by an "Introspection Rundown", et al). Hubbard seemed to encounter one person whom he seriously hated and then draw some obscene generality about an entire category or race of beings---which were all identical. And, naturally, Dr. Hubbard simultaneously came up with the "cures" as well as the price-tags for.
