Ten years ago, we put together a list of the top 20 celebrities in Scientology. We did this for a couple of reasons.
First, even in a list of only 20 names, it was obvious that we were already reaching some celebs who weren’t exactly household names, and we hoped by this it would be obvious that Scientology really doesn’t have too many big stars, despite the impression the tabloids often give.
And second, we had a source, someone who knew these celebrities because he had been a fixture at the Hollywood Celebrity Centre, and we thought he could help us order our list in a really interesting way: In order of those most likely to defect.
Ten years later, we can now say that our unnamed source was Geoff Levin, a musician and composer who has told his story so well in his film Brothers Broken. As that documentary reveals, for years Geoff was secretly communicating with us here at the Bunker while he was making his way out of Scientology and piecing together his life (and re-uniting with his brother, Robbie).
So, after a decade, we asked Geoff to go back over the list to see how we did as prognosticators, and to give us some new projections about what might occur. Here they are, still in the order that we presented them in 2016.
