Hey Michael,

:welcome2:

For a time when you were in NY I was in Boston but I don't believe our paths ever crossed.

I was on staff in Boston though between 1979 - 1986.

I was in the NYF org from December of 1986 to April of 1988. I am less fearful now.
OK, I already had left Boston (for Los Angeles) by the end of 1986, never to return until 2010 when Anonymous hosted a 3-day event there, including several protests at Boston Org.

Have you ever met Joan Gambino? She was on the 6th floor in the ny sea org . She was the clo/com HAS. She wanted me to join the sea org to get her stats up, because her husband richie and her blew there posts and got comm eved. Joan was demoted to programs chief. I blew 4 months later and never came back because I got tired of all the bullshit.

Yes, she was my CO when I was first on staff at Boston Org, before she went up to the CLO. And Richie was our Bookstore Officer.

There were a number of other Boston staff that went up to NY as well. Jon DeVries who was the CO CMO EUS for some time. Cary Goulston was the CO SMI EUS. Probably some others as well.

She and Richie blew their posts?? What year approximately would that have been? How long were they gone?

This happened in December of 1987 and they where comm eved in January of 1988. Left in April of 1988. There was a HAS who was getting her stats up as she was the ethics officer too and neglecting the other departments because her contract was going to be up in July. Well I said the hell with them all. I was the only one doing the mail at that time let the executives do the mail You want names here or in private?

Either way is fine

What the hell what can they do to me. It's been over 30 years. The name of the bitch who betrayed me was audrey Watson. You probably never heard of her. I do remember some guy named Gary. I do remember a guy named Carl a beady eyed creep. There was one guy I hated was Pete vilinsky. There I said it! Hey Pete how did you feel when I threw over 30 thousand pieces of bulk mail? You have an ideal org now! Who is showing up? No one fuck you bastard!

No, don't know any of those people. Other than the ones I named above I just know a few others. I sat on reception for a long time at Boston answering the phones, so spoke to anyone calling in. I remember Joyce Bowen, one of the program chiefs back then. I kind of liked her from the interactions I had with her; I met her briefly when I was up there in NY for a week or two myself. Of course, the CoS can turn generally nice people into something else.

Yes when I was there in the beginning I had book 1 auditing I got wins out of it. I thought it was real. I didn't know you could be hypnotized with your eyes closed. As time when by things got more authoritarian. Anything to get your stats up with little pay little sleep. I am sure I made things hard for the executives when I blew.

I believe there are elements of Book 1 that can be effective. It was called abreaction therapy if I remember correctly, originally developed by Sigmund Freud, and later discarded by the Psych community because of some issues with it. But Hubbard used it to create Dianetics.

Back on the original ESMB there were some stories from Mest Lover, who was the Security Chief for CLO EUS for a period. Here's one of his threads:

Security Chief -- was that a guy named Marco? Marcus? Or was he just the EO. He was a nasty SOB

I remember mest lover on the other board
He came a few months after I left. He was conned into joining the sea org without signing the billion year contract. What a bunch of dopes. He eventually sabotaged the computer systems then he took boxes of documents and never came back. I admired what he did. I did damage when I left He makes me look like an amateur.

Forgive my nitpicking, but it's Josef Breuer, Freud's early mentor and collaborator, not Freud.

"According to Breuer’s theory of hysteria, the illness begins when someone is exposed to psychic trauma, which he defined as any situation with a risk of serious physical or emotional injury. If the individual is unable to feel and express the emotions related to the traumatic experience, they are dissociated, that is, isolated in a separate state of consciousness that is inaccessible to ordinary awareness. Here, Breuer acknowledged and built on the pioneering work of French psychiatrist, Pierre Janet, who was the first to assert the importance of dissociation in mental illness. Breuer called this altered state of consciousness the hypnoid state, owing to its similarity to the state induced by hypnosis. Recovery and healing require accessing and expressing the dissociated emotions, through catharsis, and integrating them with the ideas in normal consciousness, a process he called associative correction.

"If we compare Breuer’s theory with Freud’s formulation of psychoanalysis, there are three main differences: psychic trauma (Breuer) vs. sexual conflict (Freud) as the primary cause of psychopathology, hypnoid states (dissociation) vs. repression (defense) as the primary mechanism, and emotional expression (catharsis) vs. interpretation (analysis) as the primary means of recovery. Ironically, in each of those points, the modern view of psychotherapy has increasingly come to favor Breuer."

And welcome aboard, @Michael Mason.
