The Oracle, LS has bouts of anger every now and then. We're all kind of used to it. He's mellowed out a whole bunch, but when he goes off, it's never in a minor way even if it's a minor thing. He contributes a lot, as do you, but he is the way he is. Please don't take it too personally.
I believe your point was that she was probably desperately trying to cure herself of cancer with Scientology. JT should have known better after losing his son, but there's no predicting how involved cult members can be.
I think celebrities are particularly vulnerable to blackmail by the cult of Scientology and terrified of being destroyed by the secrets they reveal in session. To the best of my knowledge, JT was not nearly as lacking in compassion as Tom Cruise. JT was kind to many celebrity Scientologists who have since become exes and hasn't apparently disconnected from them. I've heard some good stories about JT. He is not heartless. I don't know a thing about Kelly Preston, but JT stuck it out in the marriage, which is more than most celebrities or Scientologists do, so there is that.
Scn celebrities are a mixed bag of wildly creative, hyper-focused, brilliantly talented artists, loving, fun, dedicated folks trying to bring additional luster and success and happiness into their personal lives. And at the same time if the cult of Scientology types a few words on a piece of goldenrod paper about their best friends, spouses, family, parents or kids---they can just as easily disconnect, defame, degrade, betray, attack and fair game anyone at any time on any cult whim.
Cults often make people (celebrities or otherwise) into obedient little irrational, paranoid and vicious predators when the truth about cult crimes begins to leak out desperation sets in with cult leaders. The celebrities are a little "special forces unit" that the cult can deploy to either make their cult seem safe and shiny OR to hurt people who don't "agree", "believe" or "obey".
Mostly, in my experience with cult celebrities and VIPs and whales, is that they are both:
1. OBLIVIOUS ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE THE CULT.
2. PURPOSELY REFUSE TO LISTEN OR UNDERSTAND OR INQUIRE ABOUT CULT CRIMES, ABUSE AND TERRORISM EVEN WHEN IT IS BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION.
They are, in the end, just another species of "useful idiots" that the cult has orbiting their toxic planet.
The cult has acquired certain skills in "managing" these assets, which walks the tightrope between keeping them F/Ning and alternately burning out their celebrity cachet, currency and fan base by using them as shills and attack dogs (e.g. -
see Tom Cruise videos with Matt Lauer or giving sector-salvaging KSW sermons to the faithful).
By and large Scientology celebs, despite any and all of their lovely and good qualities are incredibly, incredibly, incredibly dumb with blind spots so wide that dozens of Venusian freight trains can easily rumble thru their vacuous grinning minds without once bumping into common sense.
