I would imagine that Kelly had stress related to Miscavige being directly concerned with Travolta's image and career, and how that could help Scientology, and pushing her on various plans and schemes.

Christina Applegate comes to mind....and Olivia Newton John too, I believe.

I believe Applegate had a mastectomy too....Then reconstructive surgery and an implant. She is a real fighter!

I remember that a Mobile Clinic Truck use to come around near the Complex area....back in the day. I believe it offered Free Mammograms and PAP smears....

I believe that some female SO use to take advantage of this....but perhaps someone more in the know could confirm.

Apart from dying of cancer, the only other cause of death of a scientologist that I can remember reading about here is suicide. Says a lot for 'the world's fastest growing religion'.

I was very interested to read about your views on receiving auditing. Speaking personally, I couldn't get enough of the stuff, I loved getting it and I loved auditing people. When I was in, a lot of what I read about here didn't exist, you just went up the grade chart from something like ARC Straightwire, Power and Power Plus, R6EW, Clearing Course etc. etc. Occasionally you went to review for an S&D perhaps or a Green Form. I was an org. staff member so I got free auditing. These days, being forced to undergo all the sec-checking I read about and having to pay through the nose for it would have freaked me out.

Hey Stratty, I have been thinking about this since earlier. There are two subjects for me, giving and receiving.

There was auditing that I really did like. I think my favorite was objectives, and I have one quite a bit of that stuff, believe me. Back at Flag when I was training, I managed to do the TR's & Obj course. Of course it was rushed due to the nature of training at the time, but I felt I got a lot out of it at the time. I probably did 100 hours total, receiving. Then later, there was a precursor to the SRD, and I think I received around 400 hours of objectives. I shit you not. There were people that received more than me!

I liked receiving the grades, especially grade 0, 1 & 2. Grade 3 and 4 were ok, but not as much as the lower grades. NED was too much work, I ate tons of hours up on that as well.

I did like L&N whenever I could get it. There was lots and lots on the L's, which made those more interesting.

My favorite was FPRD after I attested to clear. I mostly ended sessions with floating TA. Actually, after I did OT preps, I was ok with never again receiving auditing, and I planned on walking away from it for good, until I started a relationship with a woman still going at it hammer and tongs.

It was after the GAT II changes, and I received FPRD and sec checks after, I hated it. First, it was entirely CS'd as punishment. Then, the way it was auditing, there was no steering, no help from the auditor. Probably the punishment factor was what fucked it up so much. That and it was daily for about three or four months. I'm happy that it happened the way it did, since now I'm talking to you about it, and not there doing it!!!

But, what I really loved was being as good as I could be with TR's in helping my PC get the most from his/her auditing. TR's and metering, although I never felt as good with my metering as I did with my TR's. When I was first a junior auditor, I could getaway with stuff to myself, a little slop or error. I eventually got really demanding with myself, and worked at all the points, TR1, TR2, TR3 and TR4.

My biggest wins were on FPRD. What stopped me from being a scientologist for good was FPRD.

Never got onto the OT levels, my name here was a bit of a ruse. I'm doty from old age and figuratively an OT: Out of Town as far as scientology is concerned!

He could inflict serious damage to CoS and I've got no doubt that Miscavige would play hardball with him, with threats of blackmail and other tactics to keep him in line.

I'm not saying that for the purpose of excusing him from the responsibility of the destructive consequences he causes by promoting an abusive and criminal cult. I've got zero respect for the man. He should grow a set and publicly speak about what he knows to really be true.

I think Kelly Preston played a huge role in keeping Travolta "on purpose". Especially after Jett died. It'll be interesting to see what he does now that she's gone. I doubt he'll ever speak out publicly against the cult, but I think he'll just quietly go away and rebuff DM's efforts to keep him in.

I think so as well. I believe it's been reported over at the Bunker that sources close to the Travolta's have said this.

JT must becoming very familiar with tragic death ... Diana Hyland (his first love) died in his arms at age 40, also from breast cancer back around 1977 and he turned to scientology heavily when that happened ... and then of course his son died in awful (and slightly weird) circumstances.

He must be wondering if he's jinxed ... if he's not careful the cult will turn on him for gross 'out PR'.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean and I experience exactly the same feelings. The constant and never ending barrage of tasks, cases and investigations. All of this followed up with shouts of: "More! Faster! More! Faster!", and various threats/insults which required constant posturing and push-back from my end, with sleep deprivation on top of it all. It was all draining.
