A quick, easy solution to loss

Fair enough Hats, but are you saying that women don't have a problem at all with men looking at them intently and desiring them sexually)? Even though I'm male myself I can imagine that must be an uncomfortable experience, especially if the woman isn't attracted to the man concerned.
How could I be saying that?. I was behind the bar in hotel lounges.....the very place where the game is played. Seen plenty of that. It makes you mad when
you're crowded and busy trying to make tips... and a single gal has to siphon all chaotic bits of attention upon her. Any crisis gets manufactured,...purse stolen...broken shoe heel...toilet plugged up__urgent urgent. Of course the pinnacle of the night on the town is bragging that somebody really desperately, wants into her pants. Projection!

Too bad Ogger couldn't come up with a technique to deal with his own mental illness and avoid suicide. I think he would have been better off with a real therapist and (perhaps) medication rather than dreaming up his own imaginary LRH-inspired techniques.

Exactly.

Life must be exhausting when constantly feeling the need to do some preordained mental gymnastics every time something "happens" (or you imagine it happened).

:)

Fair enough, and as a 6 foot plus male I'm probably the wrong person to make this argument; I'm just distilling down from what I've seen, read and heard from women about their experiences.

But isn't there a sneaking fear on the woman's behalf that, out of the 19 men in the club who fancy her that night, one might be a predator who will drag her into a bush and rape her (men being the stronger sex on the whole)? You seem to be discounting this possibility completely.

This was discussed at length in the old board; would that we still had access to it, especially as Veda isn't here at the moment to take up the argument (and tell me I'm talking out of my arse).

However, I don't discount the possibility - and I agree it's no more than that - that Pilot was telling the truth and the Church did run Black Scientology on him. It was odd that he suddenly went into that massive collapse around the turn of the millennium (1999-2000) and for no obvious reason, when he was doing fine before.

I wasn't referring to anyone specifically Cats and I have no interest at all in scientology, black, blue, green or otherwise ... but (even after all this time) it still occasionally grates when I see people attempting to push their gibberish on others.

Hi again Trouble,

I'm aware of that, but if somebody (XenuHimself in this case) raises the issue of Pilot and how what happened to him might have related to the Tech, I'll answer it to the best of my ability.

This section of the board is called "Freezone, Indy and Other Flavours of Scientology", so I took it as read that discussion of tech issues is welcome here. Presumably Ed did too because he started the thread (and I'm glad that he did).

Hello Cats,

Well, you read the XenuHimself post very differently to how I read it and your response was to my post, not his ... but please don't concern yourself with my interruption, I still can't seem to help myself on occasion, even after all these years ... I clearly need urgent help.

:D

OK, I see that you're right now. XH was referring to the inability of the techniques Pilot used on himself to save him from his fate (whatever that was), and wasn't mentioning the Tech's role in bringing that condition about in the first place. Sorry for any confusion.

I wish I could read that old board again though, it seems to be down at the moment.

I don't doubt for a moment that the Church would run Black Scientology on its perceived enemies. They're evil AF, and their "scriptures" allow them to do this.

Yes, I agree. I wish Veda was here to answer this but he doubted whether the Church considered Pilot enough of a threat to want to run Black Scientology on him.

For me the jury's out on that one. I remember that there was a time when the alt.religion.scientology servers were getting heavily spammed, and it was thought that the CofS had managed to find a Hip Crime spammer and back him up with big bucks. Or it may have been some unknown person, who knows.

What's not in doubt is the coming of the internet was very bad news for Scientology and something they clearly hadn't planned for, because it destroyed the tight control they had concerning the flow of information.

I don't know enough about it to say one way or the other. That said, I've been surprised by allegations in the past that Scientology ran fair game campaigns against people who really didn't do much of significance to deserve it. Sometimes the justice given out isn't proportional to the offenses committed, such as putting a 4-year-old boy in a chain locker on a ship for chewing on a telex. :coolwink:

As you probably know though, there are no such things as children in Scientology and they don't recognise the concept. It's all "thetans in little bodies". That's why no one at St Hill thought it was strange that (according to Steve Bisbey) at one point the Ethics Officer was a 14 year old boy.

You're correct. The thetan was probably 408,000,000,000,000 years old, so putting him in a chain locker doesn't seem as bad as putting a 4-year-old boy in for a couple of days. :coolwink:

Hubbard instilled, passing on from himself, an intense vitriol toward anyone and anything that even seemed to detract from his stature of singular omnipotence, and an all-consuming determination to utterly destroy that "other-determinism" to eliminate any possibility of it having such an effect on anyone. Such was Hubbard's terror of being found wanting as a person and not being accepted. And so those so indoctrinated to "defend the tech all all costs for the greater good against the unworthy forces of evil", and in that diseased mentality, no holds are barred.

I wish Veda were here too. :)

Pilot, before his death at the bottom of the swimming pool, had complained of the same weird things as others leaving cults of the past. Being stalked, having unknown types of drugs put in food or drink or needles, gotten into his bloodstream. The whole scene is like some bad time loop repeating for certain archetypical characters, like Ken Ogger ( The Pilot ) You can have a good time playing Wizard but have to be wary of the influences surrounding you.

Marty Rathbun mentioned Black Dianetics. I supposed that just meant auditing a person into some restimulation. DM had revealed his dark, intentions for you to be dying in the dark...and in pain. Hell, every 'Mummy' movie since silence film, contained death curses upon those who broke the oath and revealed secrets. If it's par for the course in secret societies over millennia, Could be so many earlier times among groups, that it gets triggered unconsciously between individuals. They've agreed with punishing each other for breaks of the code.....or even to be punished.

I kept having deadly mishaps near my end time in Scientology. Not all were in my car, but, all nearly left me crippled for life. I looked for agreements I might have regarding this subject, which left me vulnerable to being punished or completely arrested.. I did discover some clicking on with some ominous feelings. Was my own set up machinery causing me harm myself, and might not others have similar unconscious triggers.
