One major issue with that is that the XenForo database for Archived ESMB contains private messages which would then be exposed to whomever obtained a copy of that database. Given OSA INT Internet Investigation Unit's 2010 attack on ESMB,I expect that database is still a much desired OSA commodity.

OSA made false Internet terrorism reports claiming that ESMB was the source of a DDOS attack against C of $ web servers. As a result, @Emma was arrested and put in handcuffs right in front of her daughter and held for many hours. As well, the ESMB server and every computer or laptop in the home of @Emma were seized for forensic examination by Australian law enforcement.

Copies of the hard drives are made in such an examination. I believe that the entire OSA operation was intended to obtain additional copies for the purpose of identifying pseudonymous critics posting on ESMB.

Weren't all PMs deleted when the board was put into archive-only mode? I thought that Emma told us to copy our PMs if we wished to save them as they were going to get deleted.

writing those anecdotes, histories and commentaries. Irreplaceable!

Little known history
An attempt was made to print out and bind the some of the major posters'
writings, but ESMB volunteers quit after binding the first compilation . . .

Wow you guys can turn anything into a conspiracy theory. The forums will be returned. The forum is simply turned off for now because:

1. I have an insane anarcho-communist chasing me around the internet trying to find out everything they can about me. ESMB is full of that.
2. Search is still wrecked.
3. The update to xF 2.0 went ok but the formatting sucks.
4. I have a new hobby that doesn't involve Scientology. Instead I'm documenting crazy conspiracy theorists.
5. I'm busy and don't really have the time to fix that shit right now.

For most part, the only people that seem concerned about this are the very people who continue to trash me (with exceptions). The rest of you can fuck off with your Alanzo theories and other bullshit.

Why would I fix anything for you?

When I fix it I'll do it for myself. Not for you.

I get trashed here. I've taken money, sold the board to OSA and a bunch of other things. The database is safe. Nothing was lost.

I know even posting here will open me up to another barrage of insults and innuendo. But go ahead. It's sure to make me fix things faster.

@Emma , thank you for the update. I'm very upset to learn you have acquired an Internet Stalker (if I read that rightly), they can be very troublesome and even become dangerous.

Even people who are concerned and not your enemy may dub in crazy theories to fill an information vacuum. Of course, your enemies do so with malicious purpose.

(Edit Addition: I very much doubt the identities that are slandering you on this thread want Archived ESMB back up. There is too much evidence of just exactly what kind of evil @ssholes they are in those archived messages).

Okay, if Emma says all the posts, etc are safe, that's good. They're safe. I hope to see them again at some point. Perhaps it is selfish of me to say "as soon as possible" but I can't help myself.

That having been said, I suggest it could be quite a task to restore and rehabilitate things on the internet. A childhood friend has a political blog (WordPress?) that blew up one day (thevirtuousrepublic dot com). It turned into something like 8 GB of random files, and it was far beyond his ability to put it back together (I think he lost everything). He started his blog over again but lost interest after a few posts. He still has the blog (and the domain name) as of this posting, and just like the abandoned area around Pripyat (Chernobyl, in Ukraine), his blog stands frozen in time.
